1. Love it
2. I guess I've always liked breaks, and also, bbhc is the most diverse part of hardcore
3. Have loved it just as long as I've loved 4x4 hardcore, since I got into hardcore and dnb at about the same time, and it's kind of an in-betweener innit, same roots n dat
4. All kinds, I'm a ferocious omnivore when it comes to music
5. Think more or less all producers associated with CLSM & HU are doing it well, tbh, not familiar with bbhc from other factions -- ALSO KNITEFORCE! can't believe I forgot them for a minute ;O
6. I think all the examples in the question would be good answers
7. I think it could be interesting to hear some breakbeats from the Dutch scene, actually (Neophyte, Tha Playah, Evil Activities, etc.)
8. Hell mother****in yea. I don't think it would be atrocious in the slightest to play a full set of breakbeat even.
9. Yes.
10. Would LOVE to. That is if I could make it, seeing as I'm not in the UK
kisses and hugs to everyone producing breakbeats lololo, also make more rave breaks 140-170 ;D full breaks set increasing in bpm would be orgasmic

1. I like it! It really is enjoyable.
2. It's all about the melody of a track to me and Breakbeat Hardcore includes some really nice one's. I can't listen to pure Breakbeat for 1 hour, but play it in a mix once in a while, makes the mix more interesting. I'm just too addicted to 4 to the floor. A nice example for the perfect dosage is "Hardcore Nation Next Generation CD2".
Another mentionable point is, that Breakbeat and 4/4 are able to fit together so perfectly - the main part to myself remains: it must be melodious. Unfortunately it's not being done enough these days like in the mids of the 90s (f. e. by Dune, Raver's Nature or listen to the free Januskopf track, I've posted here).
3. I have enjoyed Breakbeat elements since the beginning of the 90s starting with The Prodigy and a small revival I had at the end of the 90s with the Breakbeat tracks of Music Instructor (like "Electric City" and "Super Sonic"), Chemical Brothers, Apollo 440 and Fatboy Slim.
4. During my depression days I was searching for happy uplifting stuff only, but today I am able to listen to some darker sounds as well.
5. My favorite one must be Ponder! I like Panacea and StrifeII as well.
6. Anyone, who is willing to do (including D&B artists).
7. Anyone, who is willing to do (including D&B artists).
8. Of course! Like I have already said it before: adding it to a Hardcore mix really improves it.
9. I wouldn't mind!
10. Probably not, because I feel unable to listen to a pure Breakbeat set (Ponder released a free mix months ago and I got tired after 60 min of pure Breakbeat before some 4/4 was played, although all the single tracks were great).

1. What do you think of BBHC? Love it? Like it? Indifferent? Hate it?
Love it
2. If you like/love it, why? What appeals to you? If you hate it, why? This is the last question for you ;)
differentiates a set from the monotonous drone of a 4/4 kick (or all trance vsts)
3. Have you always liked it, or is it something that's grown on you, or you've recently been exposed to it?
didn't really like it the first time I heard it, or I should say I didn't understand it. it grew on me over the years and now I pray for a breakbeat track in a set
4. What sorts of BBHC do it for you? Dark and hard? Happy/cheesy? Vocal? Relaxed?
all of it, but I'd have to say the kind of stuff that vibes & wishdokta put out is what makes me go the most nuts
5. Which producers are doing it for you?
luna-c, clsm, ponder, alke-d, tc, ham, idealz, wizbit, unsubdued, panacea
6. Which diverse producers (see: Al Storm, Darwin, Fracus, JAKAZiD, Ponder etc. etc.) would you like to hear more BBHC from?
ham, darwin, anyone from #5 =P
7. Which producer(s) who don't make BBHC, or have only ever made one or two tracks ( i.e. Gammer / Styles) would you like to hear BBHC from?
what ever happened to robbie long & devestate?
8. Do you feel BBHC is "strong" enough to be played alongside 4/4 tracks mid-set (not just to open the set).
I do it all the time
9. Would you like to see a 100% breakbeat set in the main room at a big event?
could we get DNA back?
10. Would you attend a 100% breakbeat night, say - next Summer in the UK?
probabaly not as we are planning a trip to Disney, but I would if I lived in Europe or the UK

Just for clarification: If you are talking about modern breakbeat hardcore do you use this as a synonym for hardcore breaks? Always getting a little bit confused when talking about the breakbeat genres ;-).

I asked DNA a while ago if he'd go back to hardcore should the music go back to the breakbeat stuff, he answered 'Well the scene isn't gonna go back to the breakbeat stuff' I said hypothetically speaking and after a long pause he said maybe but it's not worth thinking about because it'll never happen...and here we are...
Also, YES Robbie Long! Well remembered! What about Robbie Long and Coyote too? I remember buying a bunch of Breakbeaty stuff from the TNC store before it went down, last I heard of Robbie Long he played at the Hardcore Heaven weekender or something, seems to have gone off the map since then though.

to bring some positive attitude to this thread (from my side), there is a recent breakbeat track that I'm ok with, and that's Breeze & Styles (?) Breakbeat Hardcore version of Chemical Love, which is still 4 beat (a constant beat) from 2004/05.
Also, The Nice Guys (Reese & No Left Turn?) made a track called Blue Light back in 2004. It sounds more like Freeform crossed with Happy Hardcore, but does not have a constant beat
