DJ Carl Cox - I Want You (Forever)
Listen to the breaks in this, original stuff! I dare say it sampled some Hip Hop? I dont know but this is one of those 'you been rushing all night and now your at your peak' tunes.
Ok I wasn't there back in the day but because I missed out I thought I would share this with you lot

now even I'm starting to question why you bother staying on a forum, posting pre-happy hardcore stuff like that

Freefall - Feel Surreal (Carl Cox Ultimate Mix) was a far better tune by him imo, but this is such a stupid topic anyway

yer and this tune was an anthem in the day so if people didnt like tunes suchj as this (which where cutting edge for the times) then there would have been no 'Happy Hardcore' afterwards or nothing in the present day.
Respect the past as it shaped our present
I bet this was played to a rave of thousands of ravers in one room (or thent) to the the present day where a 'standard' tune gets play to a crowed of 80 odd

I might be thankful for it Smoogie, but that doesn't need to say I like it, and I utterly hate it.
I do love the punter who started to think "man, this shit is slow, lets pitch it up a notch"

The issue is, theres similar styles nowadays in todays BBHC. Piano lines and traditional 90's sounds mastered to modern effect. You need to open your eyes man, there's new music all around that you refuse to hear out of principle.

Also Jungle is coming back and it's sounding really good. Check out future jungle, 140 jungle etc. Uncle Dugs showcased this a while ago, I think it's awesome:

whoah, calm down guys. Granted new tunes are produced to today's fantastic standards and there are still people out there making the old style tunes but come on..
Are you suggesting that because something is cutting edge it is better? If so, I completely disagree (in terms of music obv) for a number of reasons which i'll happily explain if someone wants to know.
Also, why are people getting so angry about this being posted on a hardcore forum? I'm not suggesting it's a good topic at all but it is still a hardcore song.
After listening to both newer and older hardcore I can honestly say that I prefer old hardcore.
That doesn't mean i'm militantly against the other style though.
