Although not as popular as your famous 'Bonkers' and Happy 2B Hardcore CDs, but nonetheless, this sound blew me away when I first heard it. I bought vol. 7 titled, "Return of the Ultrabeat'. Loved the style straight away because I've always been into a bit of Jungle Music as well.
SO tell me what's your thoughts on this series, when did they stop producing the CD series by the way? Cheers, have a good one.

The series was put out by Moonshine Music, which is also the label that put out the Happy2bHardcore series. The last Speed Limit 140 BPM album came out in 2001, not 1996. Moonshine went bust in 2002 or 2003. They cancelled production of the Happy2bHardcore series, and after that, the label went downhill fast.

last one I remember seeing was from '96, didn't know they came out with one in '01.
when I first heard the series I didn't care for it as it wasn't the sound I was into at the time. As I started to enjoy breakbeat more, I began to kick myself for not picking them up sooner =P

DJ Slipmatt did the final one in 2001; though it was a Hard House mix, not HHC. The only volume I own is volume 8: On the Happy Hardcore Tip, which honestly...could have had a whole better track selection.

I have like 5 or 6 of these and they are great. Some of the early ones are like very happy sounding jungle/drum and bass. I love them.
