hello, I am considering buying 200 hardcore records on ebay they are all brand new and cost 150 including shipping. I just want to sell them and make a profit, does anyone think this is a good idea I don't really know how large the market is and if I would make any money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

hmm, I dont think you'll make much of a profit from that

unless of course you sell them all individually on ebay/discogs - in which case most likely you will return a profit - but it will take a very (very) long time to do so, and the profit you get most likely wont really have been worth your time

these days the best you'll get for most pieces is around 2 or 3 GBP - thats at best, and its getting harder and harder to sell individual pieces, and some just wont sell at all on there own.

what alot of us buyers tend to do these days is buy off our "wants" list on discogs (in which case you can find a seller who is selling a load of the records you want at 50p each, with free shipping over 20GBP) or buying a bulk of vinyl of ebay, keeping the stuff you want, and selling on the rest of the stuff in a bundle to cover the costs of buying the bulk in the first place.

my advice would be not to - but if you have the cash to spare and want to try it, as long as you have patience you'll make a bit of cash - if you are after a quick buck its not such a good idea

:)

Definitely a buyers market at the minute. I have tons of records to get rid of but at today's prices it's not worth it. If you're buying records to keep it's the perfect time, couldn't be much worse for selling!

hmm ok I do have time to put them all on discogs individually but the guy hasnt got a full list so I cant look at what price there on there for atm, have noticed records going for a few pence in which case I wouldnt make anything. I dont really mind giving it a go as long as I dont loose any money
