Very difficult question. There isn't an individual artist who producers tune after tune that I love, just like there's no individual artists that covers all the bases of my personal taste.
You just have to pick and mix from a selection. When Dougal & Gammer get together with Jenna, or someone like that, they make unbeatable cheese. I really enjoy a lot of tunes from people like Stu Infinity, Darren Hotchkiss, Alex BassJunkie, Stylus & AudioJunkie etc. Used to really like Petruccio & Modulate collaborations before they went ultra twisty electro.
Michael Mansion has to be right up there as one of my favourites. Don't know if that's the same as me thinking he's the "best" producer right now.
Fracus and Darwin (whether working independently or together) have never really done it for me. I can appreciate that they make good tunes - but none of them make me happy and really excited. They're like watching The Wire - you know it's good, you can appreciate it's good - but you'd never watch two episodes in a row.
Ephexis for Freeform, Douglas for Freeform.
Ultravibes is also an exceptional producer. He has made some genuine epics. Routinely producers absolute crackers.

Personally, Gammer, Sy & Unknown and Darwin recently. They've been the guys I've been listening to the most this year. Sy & Unknown have always brought me annoyingly catchy tracks that I play so much that I start hating the song but still love it, Darwins slowly growing on me more and more and Gammer's just great, and not just his songs, love his videos aswell (YT), that guys 100% nuts :P

Woah! I had to read that a few times to make sure i didn't write it. Very close to my thoughts. Only real difference for me is that i haven't yet got what all the fuss is about with Douglas, much prefer Lost soul or Arkitech for freeform.

I didn't really know who the bloody hell Douglas was about six months ago, but kept hearing these fantastic tunes on the Nu Energy Collective podcast by some bloke called Douglas. Lovely stuff.
I should have mentioned Synthwulf for Freeform too. Absolutely love his stuff.
