Just started a remix of 'natalie imbruglia - torn' today spent about 4 hours on it.
looking for feedback or any advice on mixing it.
also if anyone has or knows where i can find an acapella for it, as i've had to use an acoustic version which makes it out of time.

its ok m8, yeah you need to work on the beat, you need to lower the volume of the vocals abit and up the volume of the kicks, also it would be good to have some hihats in there and some fills to add fullness to the track, but i absolutely love the melody and stick at it don't give up :D

I like it tbh, however I think alot needs to be done with the volumes in your mix and maybe beef up a sample or 2 (the lead is very weak imo). I really liked the original, and I really like the basis of your remix too :)

having beats over a section that's calm does sound good at all. 0:00 to 0:40 sounds awful

Thanks all, especially for the 0-40 sounding awful, will try with some lighter high hats and more 'real' instruments.
will post after my next session on the track.
and will mix after i buy my krk rp8's :)
Thanks again, Fin.
