Nope!
I'm all for things staying fresh and producers trying different things - but now it's become the norm so the appeal has worn off a bit. There are some good tunes in that 'minimal' style but now they're all over the place so makes it harder to like.

It just feels like a massive anti-climax to me. Think Storm on the clip might have been talking to someone who was whinging about it too xD

are you crazy? that song was complete crap until the drop came, I think it's great and I can say, by what I've seen, played, heard, experienced, that this here works fantastic on a dancefloor ;)
there are some pretty cool tracks like that now, check out quosh "the fly" also :)

Hate those drops. I made a thread about Absolute Fish by Gammer and Klubfiller. If you have a melodic buildup, I cant understand why you'd drop it into a non melodic.... bit.
It works in some other genres, but not in hardcore.... Blam works, even Jump... But 99% doesnt. Oh well, its the direction the music is taking, and I dont foresee it last too much longer.

I hate these drops also. You don't get what you are expecting at all and it makes my mind explode. Also I didn't like the kick in the main part aswell, it makes the tune lack energy.

I think there it is a big difference between disliking sth and calling a track being a poor production (I think no one here has said that until now).
I dislike this drop as well, but I can't tell, if it is a poor production.

personally thought the MC was fcukin annoying especially at the beginning when he kept going after the breakdown started
but yea not liking the drop it just didn't flow right with the track

The latest trend? This is a classic from 96, for me this track defines happyhardcore music, it's Dune I can't stop raving... but this is cover so who knows who the artist is, the start of the song sounds exactly like the orginial but the second half is totally different...

Um, I think you should re-read the OP silver. We're talking about the way it drops, that weird minimalist anti-climax thing producers keep doing these days.

I guess this can work if done well, which I'd say isn't the case here. Sounds like whoever mixes just crossfaded into another track.

Ive not listened to this particular track (at work) but I know exactly the type of drop youre talking about without checking it out. Im all for it as long as there is other tracks in the mix. I like to hear sets with different styles all mixed up, they keep me interested for the full hour (or 2 or 45mins bla bla).
Du du du du d d du du can be just as monotonous as woom, blip, ding ding wadewad.
