Does anybody own any quality old school compilation albums?
I know of the strictly underground records ones called Illegal rave, there are some absolutely quality tunes on those albums.
Just wondering if there are any more actually good albums not packed with n-force and whigfield from ~88-94

I know Hackney Hardcore from this compilation by Donovan 'Badboy' Smith, which I used to own:
his tune was Dancefloor Dangerous - Hackney Hardcore, a wicked oldskool track.
got it at a good record store back in the days

I've still got loads i bought back in the day, the Suburban bass, Moving shadow, Reinforced and Kickin' records ones being my favourites. Sadly true that every so called 'old skool' compilation from the past ten years has exactly the same tunes in a different order, very few of which fit the description!

I only own old skool euphoria mixed by altern 8 and moondance mixed by slipmatt,or maybe 1 or 2 more lol
Oldskool Rewinds vol 1 is fantastic, one of my top 3 comps of all time, (I always mention it on here lol) it was released in 2005 from Rumour, if you can find a copy get it!

That oldskool rewinds album looks quality. Well need to get myself a copy of that.
This decadance one though, I bought an oldskool one by them and it was pretty rubbish, not mixed as well. I've never known a record label to release such a wide range of albums.
edit: just grabbed a signed copy of the oldskool rewinds album for a tenner off discogs! WELL CHUFFED.
Check out the label Jumpin' & Pumpin'. They released some great CD's during the 90's. Obviously Kniteforce, Dreamscape released some good CD's with some top notch old skool mixes especially Sy's mix on the Extra Sensory Perception CD. Slammin' Vinyl released the Absolute Old Skool Classics series which had loads of great lesser known tracks and they've done a few others too.
Just a few to get you going. Don't bother with the MOS, Moondance & CYFI old skool CD's because they're nearly always the same old shit. Check the original labels on Discogs and search that way.

Decadance never do on their covers, but Slipmatt and Billy have done all their hardcore and old skool albums over the last few years, must be the MOS influence, btw I got mine from Tesco's!
