I'm thinking of throwing together 1998-2001 era mix of some classic trance stuff but i have literally tons of the stuff so i can't even begin to start thinking what to include! I tend to sway toward the Rank 1/Airscape/Matt Darey sort of stuff when i dig the tunes out but want variety too. What sort of tunes would you lot want to hear?

I only left Junior School in 1998 (age 11), so I have literally no idea.
I do love trance though (although my knowledge is miserable) so looking forward to this.
On a separate note, I gave that Eurobeat mix another listen today - my God is that crazy stuff addictive.

That stuff should be illegal - you know you shouldn't touch it but once you try it you just can't help wanting more.
It's the musical equivalent of crack!

I'm the same age as you but i was listening very actively to Trance from 1999 to 2001 and know all the classics and many others so age dosn't really matter much.
Anyway in reply to the original question, unless you are actually going for all the really obvious tunes then definately avoid the likes of Airwave etc, sickeningly over played.

That's why i'm asking for suggestions, save me knocking out something that sounds like a Gatecrasher CD!

lol, mate, I don't think I was even listening to any music whatsoever at the age of 11. I have no memory of any of it, anyway. Had no one to influence me really. Was only secondary school when I started developing any tastes of my own, and that was just pop punk and stuff.

LOL, I could not have put it better myself.

Where 98 is concerned you blatantly need to include Love Stimulation.

Sounds like a pop tune lol. 2002ish pop Trance actually. Well ahead of it's time in that respect.

lars sea- the way
vimana- we came
UKW- hypnotic
night and day- let me know
digital control- dreams last for long (ferry corsten extended mix)
