Ah right, didn't think he was 12 so this makes more sense. Over 25's though, what's that all about?

It's probably to keep away the nob heads from round here. Birkenhead can be a very violent place at the weekends. The club is right on the edge of the town center so all of the trouble would be happening away from the club as the "kids" wouldn't be anywhere near it.

Good policy. Most people under 25 wouldn't appreciate the music anyway.

Is that normal policy for hardcore nights round your way then Stu?
All the raves I've been to in London - apart from a couple of the lads I go with sometimes, most people are like 18-25 bracket. I don't think a rave would be economically viable down here for 25 and overs.

Well since current Hardcore is definately aimed at the younger generation then yes that is certainly true. For older stuff the opposite is true so no loss.

Ahh right. Is it purely an old skool event then? I just assumed it was either a mixture or one room old skool, one room modern.

It's a full on old skool event. From what I can make out the two other DJ's will be playing more commercial house from that era, Stu Allan is playing Bowlers & Kinetic classics and I'm playing a bit of both.
As for the age, usually any hardcore event around here is over 18 but with this one being a select style of hardcore then it's over 25's. Like Matt said, they're the only ones who would appreciate it.

Surely it would make more sence to let over 18s attend but push the event as an old skool event as opposed to a hardcore event.
That way you would filter out all of the younger people who just see hardcore and think of mc storm, leaving younger people who like old skool (yes, we do exist).
Unless all you older old skool hardcore fans have a problem with us young whippersnappers?
