Quote from Kevs announcement to wrap it up at :
http://www.nuenergycollective.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=489&Itemid=91&Itemcatid=1 "Next Month I will be announcing the final release for the NEC as a record company which will be from our flagship label Nu Energy records. Im proud to have steered the label to a grand old 100 releases old and ow that to the talented artists that have graced it over the years. This is a remix album that revisits some of the most popular tracks from our history with modern remixes from the current NEC artists that have really come into their own over the last year as well as some guests. Full details of this album will be posted on the NEC site very soon. " I can't remember where I read how many tracks were on it, though I'm sure it was 25 or 27 or something like that. Best bet is to keep watching the NEC site or hardbeatsdownload.com for info on it. Apart from that, they have only just launched NUNRG094 so should be 5 quicker than usual releases coming out before 100. A lot of good Freeform coming very quickly.

Ahh I did read that, had just forgotten. Thanks for reminding me :-)
OK, so - completely separate from 37-track-album My Rave, NUNRG 100 is also going to be done up as a 25 track album? Man that's glorious.
NUNRG 094 is the Synthwulf EP right? Both of those tracks were fantastic, I gave them a listen the other day. Only remember the name of one of them, Tech-Form, which was absolutely amazing.
I've never ignored Freeform, but I'm glad I'm paying more attention to if finally. Awesome, awesome stuff.

Yeah they are both seperate releases. So that's like 60 tracks between them :P. I've always loved my freeform, I don't mind a little bit of the UK stuff and some Gabber, but for me Freeform has always been my 1st love. Definately worth paying attention to :P. Also, if your trying to expand your collection quickly, check http://soundcloud.com/finrg-recordings for HEAPS of free Freeform. A bit of the stuff on that sound cloud is Hard Dance, but it's worth sorting through for all the Freeform on there.

Yeah man, I'm familiar with FINRG and Hybridize. Amazing label. I regularly feature tracks of theirs on my site. I've got a fair few of them myself.
Cheers for all the info Stray. Much appreciated mate.

They want to charge me 8GPB to ship a CD to canada? WTF :p it's the same price as the CD itself!

Yeah but it's not a great deal of money really. It would cost about 3 in England itself. Just get someone here to buy it and post it to you. Although with both postages combined i can't see it being any cheaper. Maybe more expensive!

Everything there is available as digital copy, so if shipping is too much just do what I do and download then burn. I find the price of the downloads is actually a bit cheaper than the other stores so I buy everything there.

We only ship Recorded when shipping overseas as in the past too many CDs became lost in the post with Royal Mail. If we send CDs Recorded we will send you a replacement FOC if it becomes lost as we can claim back from Royal Mail; this is not the case when sending regular 1st class. 8 GBP is expensive but it is a cost passed on directly from Royal Mail (well actually, we make a slight loss as they have recently increased their prices again). We can arrange cheaper International shipping if you want, though if the goods become lost in the post we can't replace them. If that doesn't bother you then send an email to support[at]hardbeatsdownload[dot]com and we can arrange a cheaper shipping price based on your location.

this is pretty much spot on.
BUT in my case the more expensive shipping with the signature requirement screwed me over, but it really wasn't the fault of anyone at HBD. my mail carrier failed to leave any note that I had a package that they attempted to deliver to me. so by the time i felt the need to see what was going on and get the tracking number, the damn thing was already delivered back to the UK
if you live in a house, then I say go for the cheaper service. Even though sometimes it might take longer for whatever reason, I really haven't had any problem with delivery this way. I haven't decided yet If I want to try for a CD again or just go for the digital download, but i'll be sure to ask for unrecorded shipping this time if i do.

Just look at anything from NuNRG, FinRG or Rebuild. They tend to have the best stuff.

Part of me can't wait for the releases as they looks awesome, but another part of me would be happier if it never came around at all, because it will mean NEC is officially over :(. At least Hard Beats Download/Hard Beats Collective will be keeping the sounds alive.
