Anybody here like reeeaaaal old skool/Acid house? I love the entire history of acid house and how rave parties first started, ibiza culture etc. and imo the music was absolutely brilliant. Gonna slam down some classics:
The tune that started it all (actually by jamie principle):
The first proper acid house tune:
Ibiza classic:
Classic from the UK when Acid House hit the Hacienda club in Manchester:
The anthem to Acid House parties off the M25:
Sooo much history and great tunes from back then. Anyone wanna share memories/love for this era? The music sounded so much more like actual music than just produced electronic music, felt so much more real.

most acid house i was introduced to was from SF-UR haha. God bless GTA.
aaah yeah it was vice city that got me into music on v-rock, I used to be all about the charts but when v-rock came along I was all into 80s heavy metal. Then as SA came along I was getting into classic rock so I listened to K-Rose and that classic rock station, then started getting into the grunge station on there (can't remember the names) Completely oblivious that in years time I'd like all SF-UR stuff. Although I stopped playing when I got into classic house so I never got to drive around blasting it out, the playlist looks wicked though, pacific state is still such a classic.

HAHAHA! DJ Hans kicked the radio station!
Yeah, it's an interesting genre. It's the connection between early 80's Synthie-Pop and Hip-House and Electro-Pop.
Tmo music in the 80's was better than music in the 90's, because it had been more honestly. All those gay artists (90% of them have been) weren't prisoned emotionally and expressed all their feelings in their productions; it is open-hearted music.

In the 80s UK pop music was DIRE imo, I mean I like some of it but it was faar from good solid music, it was all churned out and mass-produced...some things never change I guess lmao
But yeah 80s electronic music was really kick ass, I'm actually contemplating on getting a 303 any actually making music with it, no idea how much they cost though.

not quite acid house but still love this tune all the same

the 80s was bloody great for british pop music.
They are all what is bad about the 80's. Cheesey synth pop just sounds awful to me.

you've obviosuly never heard any of these artists songs, they are definitely not cheesy synth pop.. (excluding the human league and soft cell)
I don't mind you saying you don't like the style of music in the 80s as long as you realise it wasn't all salt'n'pepper and wham.

Good luck to find one! People keep these like classic cars and deservedly so.

I have nothing against those 2 and other stuff like it. I mean it may be shit but i don't mind. But the stuff with horrible male vocals and awful synth drums i cannot stand. The only tune i like in that style is Take One Me, very much an exception. I understand that many people consider this great music, i've just always really disliked it.
