Anybody here like reeeaaaal old skool/Acid house? I love the entire history of acid house and how rave parties first started, ibiza culture etc. and imo the music was absolutely brilliant. Gonna slam down some classics:

Sooo much history and great tunes from back then. Anyone wanna share memories/love for this era? The music sounded so much more like actual music than just produced electronic music, felt so much more real.

aaah yeah it was vice city that got me into music on v-rock, I used to be all about the charts but when v-rock came along I was all into 80s heavy metal. Then as SA came along I was getting into classic rock so I listened to K-Rose and that classic rock station, then started getting into the grunge station on there (can't remember the names) Completely oblivious that in years time I'd like all SF-UR stuff. Although I stopped playing when I got into classic house so I never got to drive around blasting it out, the playlist looks wicked though, pacific state is still such a classic.

Yeah, it's an interesting genre. It's the connection between early 80's Synthie-Pop and Hip-House and Electro-Pop.

yep and also a few years later also from manchester in the 90s one of the first ever popular bands to incorperate that house beat into one of their songs with help from paul oakenfold

you've obviosuly never heard any of these artists songs, they are definitely not cheesy synth pop.. (excluding the human league and soft cell)
I don't mind you saying you don't like the style of music in the 80s as long as you realise it wasn't all salt'n'pepper and wham.

I have nothing against those 2 and other stuff like it. I mean it may be shit but i don't mind. But the stuff with horrible male vocals and awful synth drums i cannot stand. The only tune i like in that style is Take One Me, very much an exception. I understand that many people consider this great music, i've just always really disliked it.
