I discovered this music two days ago (thanks to M-Project), it's known as Funkot (Funky Kota House). I've got virtually no information on it whatsoever apart from it's either Japanese or Indonesian - details are scarce to say the least. Anyway, it's a mixture of breakbeat, drum & bass, hardcore, makina, trance and nu rave. Give it a listen, it's fantastic music.
It's maybe the best mix I've ever done so please do try it as it's

I heard a few Funkot tracks a while back and thought it was quite possibly the biggest mess i'd ever heard!
Lets hope it's improved!

Exactly mate, know better than to question your taste.
Liking it so far, i must have heard a bad batch. Must admit though, they don't tend to hold back on the content in the tracks!

Listening. For barely discovering the genre, it would seem you built quite a collection.
30 seconds in "Holy shit..."

That was my first thought, thought it might be to repetitive but then I remembered most of us listen to hardcore so repetitive shouldn't be an issue

Downloading for sheer curiosity.
Edit 1: *listening*
Edit 2: 1 min in, loving the makina sounds...
Edit 3: almost half way in, many "boring" tunes, dont really like the bongos either. But for every shitty tunes theres another amazing one. So its a quality/shit mix for me. Theres not much middle ground.
Edit 4: Loved the makinaish tunes, didnt like the rest.

halfway through the first track. Like it, but feels like it needs another 60 bpm
