All the utter shite posted on the Pontins facebook page highlights exactly what's wrong with the 'scene' these past few years. Nothing but uneducated, ignorant idiots.
Whoever's fault it was (and i know who my money is on), there was no need for the majority of what's been said - all based on a statement from SV, who are of course whiter than white.
Good on the, dare i say older (if not, at least wiser) minority for showing there are still some decent people around.

Well let's be honest, the majority of the people that attend these events now is a bunch of retarded chavs who's idea of having fun is to destroy their health every weekend with various chemicals while thinking it's cool. It's always been this way but at least in the past the people were decent, just somewhat misguided with their drug usage.

This looks interesting. Could have a tasty piece of drama on our hands.
What a cowboy genre we live in :D

What's going on there? Is DJ JFX something to do with, or associated with Slammin' Vinyl?

Yeah it's...a bit of a disaster. This is going to have some serious knock-on effects too, Hixxy offered Weekender customers a chance to go to HTID in the Sun mid-week for free I believe. The problem is that obviously some people simply can't afford to go abroad/have kids to look after/don't have a passport so HTID in the Sun is gonna lose out a bit there, not to mention SV is gonna take quite a financial dent from not getting money from the weekender. Expect to see another CD or something from SV soon as they try and patch up some of the money they lost.
I don't really think it's either party's fault. The ticket sales were lower I believe (I think the same applies to HTID in the Sun too) and SV/Hixxy didn't want the Joe public in with the ravers (for understandable reasons) but Pontins probably didn't want to lose the potential money either. I don't think they would have done it out of spite so there is probably a good reason why they both couldn't agree on a happy medium.
Also I heard someone mention that they are annoyed that SV didn't tell them (the ravers) about it? I don't follow SV and stuff enough for that so if anyone can explain it'd be nice to know.
But yeah most importantly is the abuse on facebook, for HAPPY Hardcore, some of the ravers are showing a really bad attitude to it, yes it's very disappointing but that doesn't justify threats, rude comments and a lot of verbal abuse on a facebook page open to all ages. Gammer was right, what happened to Love, Peace and Unity?
@djDMS I'm only 19 and I gave my 50 pence for the anti-hate on Pontins' wall! The good ones of us are out there. I think the majority didn't even want to get involved, just a case of a few ruining it for the many again :(

Have you been to a rave lately? Hardcore has been full of people with bad attitude for a long time now. Pretty much since the genre became commercialised. It's obvious these kind of people are going to be attracted.
As for the event being cancelled, well it's not the end of the world is it, everyone is getting a refund if nothing else. If they can't get over that then that's their own problem. They need to get some perspective.

Yeah I was just at one last night my jaw is still hurting!! In London and Brighton there's always a really good atmosphere. Normally in smaller towns it can be a bit...dicey at times to say the least, and of course my trip up to Birmingham for Raver Baby was pretty damn scary, the car park was like a penal colony to be honest, not something I want to repeat.

Yeah I know, it was a hardcore rave. Sharkey, Technikore, Sc@r, Fracus & Darwin etc. really nice atmosphere.
And raver baby 17 was terrifying. Pulled up in the car park and there are chavs EVERYWHERE playing music out of their cars and stuff sitting around drunk yelling stuff at any car going past including ours. People yelling "OI, OI RAVERS, FOOKIN GET BACK ERE" at us, having to hide valuables under the seats etc. ...absolutely mad. Inside was awful, people trying to open my bag and rip my kandy off, someone spat in my face for no reason. I travelled up with a few mates and MC Mayhem and they were all disgusted by it. Wasn't a happy time at all. This might sound a bit melodramatic but walking through the car park even in a group of 5 I did actually wonder if I was gonna get stabbed or something, never seen anything like it in my life.

The past 5+ years, smaller events have been much better than the larger scale ones

If this isn't a reflection of how awful the music is now then i don't know what is.

Well the sets there weren't bad even by my standards and I have always prefered the old skool hardcore. Gammer was on with Storm and Whizzkid followed by Breeze and Styles with Storm and Whizzkid and followed up by Technikore and MC Mayhem and I was hearing some of the really like kinda classic upfront tunes not just the newest tracks on the block so I was impressed in that aspect but I do understand what you mean, just a shame really.

lol!....oh my
*edit*
its nice that i'm having to scroll past lots and lots and lots of "sorry about the idiots" posts on that facebook wall.
good that it is though, i expect pontins are getting a little tired of ravers posting on their family holiday park wall using such colourful language (even if they are putting down the chavs who have been abusing them. lol.
