raves over there have a real assortment of different types of music though. EG they will have occassional 100% hardcore nights but a lot of the time it's 1 hour trance 1 hour hardcore 1 hour dubstep 1 hour drum n bass 1 hour electro house etc.
also they tend to be a bit more open minded too. I've not found many hardcore ravers here who like much else apart from hardcore and the idea of a trance fan here liking hardcore is just beyond me totally. However over there you'll find hardcore fans who like dnb, dubstep, trance, techno (actual techno) etc. and vice versa
anyway yeah aside from industrial bands I think the best I could think of was Blood Stain Child too
just fyi - i lived in the states for 5 years from 2003 :P

whilst i was there i found that the vast majority of people will not dare venture anywhere near dance music as its against the mainstream, to listen to it it isnt considered "cool" - which is down to the media over there, Rock, Country, Rap and Charty Dance are pushed and nothing else will be given air time, at least not at a time that people would be paying attention.
the people who do listen to dance music (any style) definately were more "open" to other styles
but that is down to the fact that they were open enough in the first place to adventure out of the mainstream.
whereas over here we have the BBC, which everyone in UK gets at the same time - a 13 year old living at one end of the UK at landsend England, will hear a Chase and Status track DnB track at lunchtime at exactly the same time as a 13 year old kid at the other end of UK in scotland, jon o groats.
in effect, you have already been exposed to nearly all the modern styles of music on offer, leaving you free to pick and choose to what you want to pay attention to and what not to..
as this wider variety of music is played across the uk you end up with this bizzare result where in the UK its cool if you're listening to Drum N Bass, and possibly the most uncool thing to be caught listening to country music - and in the states you have the entirely opposite position - more acceptable to be listening to "alternative"/rap, which is played on 98% of the stations.
