that's one good thing i like about mainstream media is that it isn't like that. a lot of old movies and tunes get released on more modern media such as cds & dvds, and even as a digital download. there's a lot of great old stuff that are classics, and ppl should have a right to be able to get ahold of it. I see it as a crime if some of the greatest hardcore tunes are inaccessible just b/c vinyl has become/will become almost obsolete

Yea. Music is made to be listened to

No one is stopping anyone from listening to it. It's still freely available on vinyl. The people who first released these tunes don't owe you anything, if you aren't willing to buy it in any other format than that's no one elses fault.

so you wouldn't complain if there's a song you want and can't get because it's on another format that you can't playback from?

Ofcourse it's up to the artist or copyright owner to do what they want, but if they don't want sales, then they shouldn't nagg about stuff.

* I was going to do an analogue here, but it's for another thread *

I'm pretty sure owners of a long defunct label don't give a shit about sales. If i really wanted to hear the song in question that badly i would obtain the means required to play it. But we aren't even talking about something that is obscure, it's vinyl, it's very readily available and so are decks. There is no problem.

Silver has said before that he has tried to release it, but its impossible. Misono became a JPop singer and was signed by a big japanese label right after doing Konomama. From what i know, we should be thankful we even got the vinyl release.

I have to say I do wish a lot more 97-2001 happy hardcore was available digitally. I understand the mentality of wanting to keep it real and keep it vinyl but I still wanna be able to play that music out and clubs are starting to gradually rid themselves of turntables unfortunately. Nevertheless I do record my vinyl to mp3 so I can play it on CDJs but I have to be very careful when and where I play it so that the quality change isn't too noticable, it'd be nice to have it all in 320

Big problem is that a lot of producers don't have the masters for those old tracks so even if they wanted to make it digital they can't =(
