Sup girls.
I could use your collective knowledge.
I'm doing a bit of digging to collate a list of free hardcore albums from over the years (downloadable, I mean). Trying to bolster my Free Albums page on my site.
So far I've got:
Crush On Hardcore series, PPF, Gisbo Promotional Album, Ravers Addition series and eXceed Bootlegs - The Album.
Can you lot think of anymore?

You can download it here if you haven't heard it before Danny: http://hardcorehighlights.com/hardcore-compilation-album/free-albums/

I was trying to justify that one myself man, but it's just a glorified mix with a bit of art work. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think you can call it a legitimate album.

www.ruffbeatz.com has free albums with mix of hardcore and other dance styles. Also are you after albums in the sense of full track albums or free mixes?

The problem is how to you define what an "album" is these days?
Artist album is straight forward but when it comes to other albums then are they not just mixes? One one hand you can have say Ravers Addition and call that an album but on the other you have the MOB & Enemy album but call it a mix, what's the difference?

This is exactly what I've been trying to clearly define in my mind mate. I would say if an album/mix has multiple 'CDs' and is mixed by a number of DJs, featuring tracks from a broad-ish spectrum of artists, then it qualifies as an album.
I'd say that the MOB & Enemy one is a mix. It has artwork, it's hosted by an MC - fine, but it's still just a linear DJ mix. They do allude to that themselves though, by referring to it as a 'Mix Album'. It's a nicely done studio mix, essentially. I think studio mixes are getting pushed and promoted as albums these days, purely to lure people in. I doubt very much the people producing them genuinely feel it's in actual album.
So yeah.

Cheers for the link mate, I'll check that out.
Erm, well, for the purpose of this thread - I'm after albums (they don't have to be unmixed) - something comparable to Ravers Addition or Crush On Hardcore. I don't really think there is much more out there, to be honest.

i honestly think that's all it really comes down to for most ppl, that and the tracks are split for them already
there are many free programs out there ppl can use to split the tracks themselves, but they're just to lazy to bother with it

All of my mixes are recorded at high bitrate, split, labelled & have art work these days but hardly anyone bothers to download them.
