I like pianos, breakbeats, and good basses. So many people make really nasty basses that just dont sound right.

I like big epic breakdowns too, thats one of the main things I love about Chris Ross, as well as his diversity in what he makes, his breakdowns can give me goosebumps easily, like in 'Lets Go Disco'.
Possibly the best breakdown of all time is in 'Music of the Primes' IMO. This is why I like artists like Cube::hard and StrifeII aswell. Its not just music, there is emotion in there too, which is hard to achieve in a 170bpm+ genre

Fcuk me, I haven't heard that tune in years. What a truly monumental track. Have to listen to it now.

You know if it got a digital release?

I think it was given away for free in the end. It had a vinyl release and then the mp3 was given away either on Cube::hard's website or the RFU site

It was released for free on the RFU site (I grabbed it) and it recently had a digital re-release on one of the major download sites... I don't remember which. Have to pay for that one. I don't see why though, if you find a free DL link, I'd go for it.

Ah, Music of the Primes.. Absolutely glorious track, and interestingly named after a book on math (prime numbers). I don't have a citation on that though, might just be a coincidence. I got the free mp3, but still bought it on vinyl >:D

To answer the question I look for music that I think is good. Tempo doesn't matter too much (but rather 165-170 than 175+), there can be vocals, and they can be male or female so long as they're good (usually don't like MCing on tracks, though). I favour good melodies and chord progressions, but if it's a partycore track I'll buy as long as it's bangin enough.

It's basically the same for hardcore from the 90s, but I can't stand the ridiculous silliness of some happy hardcore tracks. Some tracks get so silly that I sometimes think of actually buying the vinyl just to destroy it.

Cheers for the info man. I grabbed a load of stuff off the RFU site about a year ago, but I'm positive that wasn't on there. Mmmm.

Since it was a give-away originally, does anyone fancy re-uploading it for me? Or is that just down right too naughty?
