Sorry only just looked at this and I'd forgotten I made the post. If people want my honest opinion, then sorry Gisbo but your production is a long, LONG way off. I went on your soundcloud just to have a listen to your new tracks but the first tune made my cringeometer explode. What are the vocals about in this track? http://soundcloud.com/gisbo/gisbo-skyz-real-raverbaby-raving-will-never-end That track is terrible mate, sorry but it is. The vocals are absolutely awful and I think in a few years you will listen to them and think 'what the **** was I thinking?' The problem with the internet is, all it takes is a few fanboys saying that a producer is great and the guy is gonna believe the hype. I don't make music myself and wouldn't ever start, but what I do have is an ear for good music. I can sort out the wheat from the chaff anytime, and unfortunately hardcore is absolutely full of chaff at the moment. I admire the fact that you make a lot of music, but I think you should find your own sound and perfect your production before you put clips up. Quality over quantity any day. Your production needs thickening up and your style needs something that separates it from the rest of the generic 'not as good as Raverbaby' stuff out there, because there is so much of it about at the moment. I'm sure you're not trying to actively copy anyone else, but it sounds like you are. I'm not here to argue at all, and of course you can tell me to piss off, but if you put clips up on soundcloud then you will have to deal with negative feedback, after all surely that's why you put tracks up? Feedback? Also, I had a quick look at your album and there are far too many rips on there. Anyone can take an accepalla and put some gay riff behind it. It doesn't take any great skill and in a few months it will be instantly forgettable unfortunately. Do you want to be instantly forgettable, a shooting star that fizzles out after a few months, or do you want to be a respected producer? Not respected by the fanboys, but respected by the major labels, producers and promoters? If you are only making music for 'fun' then no worries, forget everything I've said, but if you want people to say 'that Gisbo is alright man' then I think you should sit back, spend time on a track and improve your production. Anyway, I'm not up for arguing but I wanted to have my say and I never shy away from it. I am a good guy who runs a label cos I care about this music, so please don't think I am being blunt for the sake of it.
ah well i guess i find the time to get over it ....no wait!!!! im not bother. problem solved im just gna soldier on as i always do you might not like me but your like 1 in what? say what you like even if it at a silly pointless amount 1 thing i have that you dont is respect get some of that and you will get some of me untill then nothing from me im and coming im no superstar . and neither are you! respect to people who are in it for the music !
He never said that he didn't like you or didn't respect you. He is talking about you're music. It's not a personal comment lol, there is a very big difference. You can criticize without disrespecting the person your criticizing.

Nah i prefer them in. I don't actually know the guy so i have nothing to gain from doing what your suggesting I'm doing. If you can't differentiate between someones opinion and a personal attack then you're going to have difficulty in future. It's definitely in your interest to realise the difference.

Bit unfortunate this, not sure it's doing a few people any favours. But seeing as my New years resolution is to stop beingso nice all the time i'll tell it as i see it.
Some people take great delight in belittling others to get a reaction, others have a certain style that can rub others up the wrong way but without really meaning any harm - a lot of this looks like the latter to me.
I'm no psychologist but...
Thumpa is Thumpa and can be otspoken but he could have quite easily gone to town on his 2nd post but didn't, even trying to be constructive (which actually surprised me) But he has an opinion and like it or not, people will agree with it. :-P
Hard2get as usual, being the voice of reason gets insulted for not arse kissing - but at the same time gets insulted for arse kissing!
Gisbo - respect for you rapidly going down the toilet, not coming across too well at all after what i've seen here. Hope you're not letting this little bit of good feedback go to your head already? And before you have a go, i've liked a lot of your stuff - just doesn't mean you have a right to act as though you DESERVE respect. I'll happily support anybody who is trying to make a name for themselves, thing is, you could end up GETTING a name for yourself and that needs to be avoided.
There are many, many producers who've been plugging away for years who most people don't give a shit about so bear that in mind before you carry on having a go at anybody who hasn't got THEIR testicles in YOUR mouth. Take more note of what Hoodzie is doing - you can be a decent producer AND a decent lad at the same time. Take the rough with the smooth, if somebody doesn't like what you do - so what? Your music isn't for them.
Not everybody likes my life-sized sculptures of fish with the the heads of famous racehorse trainers but it doesn't stop me!

There you go again with your ignorant replies. Such a pity you keep reacting so badly because anyone with any sense would appreciate their 'followers' giving them feedback. just as on other threads, seems that the only person who's feedback you care about is Hoodzie's, just hope you don't drag him down with you.
My earlier suspicions were correct, you are indeed an idiot. Won't be wasting any more of my time on you or your music, you don't deserve any support with that attitude.
Sure there'll be others who'll think the same, watch your ego doesn't get trapped in the door marked 'obscurity' on your way through it.

I've missed you DMS
Hope you're getting back into it all.
*edit*
And for the record, Gisbo, you're not doing yourself any favours if this is the attitude you display when receiving feedback.

2010 really wasn't the best year for Hardcore. After 2009 giving us 2 HUs, The Sound Of Hardcore and Hardcore Nation 2009 plus the usual CXH/HTID goodness, this year felt a little bit dry, especially the summer! We usually get a sweet treat in June that fills up the car's playlist and spices up road trips. I was expecting HU2010 to be that treat in 2010, but it got delayed so much that it came out after HTID. My wishes for 2011 are: A new Bonkers with Dougal & Gammer/Sy & Unknown/Technikore & AlStorm. A new HU with the usual suspects (Darwin, Fracus, Brisk, Ham) and maybe another freeform cd from Oli G & Lost Soul? The continuation of CXH and HTID of course. A chance to go back to HTID In The Sun would be the cherry on the sundae =)
To y'all a happy 2011 Hardcore Year! I hope you get plenty of whatever tickles your fancy (enough to stop some from bitchin' about what doesn't!) XD
