Indeed, it's great that they've won an award but they're not exactly "breakthrough".

Darwins had fairly large releases since 2005.
He had numerous releases on JAL and RFU.
If Hardcore Underground helped inflate his popularity, then why wasnt he breakthrough DJ last year or the year before??
Fracus has been around since 2002 and was part of HU Records since 2007 I believe.
They are good, and are having a recent spate of popularity and good releases, but their 'breakthroughs' are written in history books...................... or maybe those breakthroughs werent mainstream enough...

Come on guys we all know "breakthrough" for the awards means something different than an actual breakthrough (which F&D have already done long ago!).

i imagine that the fb page to vote for them helped them a lot, but yes they should've deserved a win yrs ago. but regardless of the timing they definitely deserved the award, as wll as the nextgen podcast. Like a bitch and anything involving MC Storm, however, does not

Yeah, unfortunately it usually means the beginning of the assimilation of the "breakthrough" artists into the Raver Baby/HTiD crew.
Not necessarily a bad thing for the person(s) involved as it leads to more exposure, bookings, releases, money. But the usual trend seems to see them getting their style watered down into something that resembles little of why they won the award to begin with. Hope this doesn't happen to F&D.

HH awards is always a joke. But this year it was a little bit less a joke then I expected.
The biggest joke: Outstanding Contribution 2009-2010: MC Storm
But really fun that Fracus & Darwin won. Gammer is by far the best DJ so thats nice also. Next gen podcast is fun so they deserved that also :)
