What is it that makes it so distinct? I don't get it. Is it the fact that the vocals are in Japanese & if so, wouldn't the genre of music till be Hardcore?
I've heard my mate play some other Japcore that had more of a techno style, driving beat & bassline but was still pushing 170-180bpm so I can see why this would be givin a new title but judging by the vid that you posted, this is just Hardcore, Happy Hardcore at that & the vocals have been written to style of old UK Happy Hardcore.
Please can someone clear this up?
That's why I added the disclaimer "though that might be because all I listen to is Tano C." It might just be because I can tell of REDALiCE or Betwixt & Between have made the song. Though I've realized that in J-Core, the Kickdrum isn't as hard and the melodies are usually more complex.

The melodies are more stomping.

Harder is goooood. I find they hit both sides of the spectrum, with creepy anime horror songs to really happy squeaky cheesy songs. Which is something I don't see very much in the Hardcore around nowadays.
