yep! building studio furniture - took the bed apart and used wood from it - the wife wasnt too happy, but by the time i had dismantled the headboard and started drilling - there wasnt much she could do :D
heres the top part..

then this is the headboard (excuse the my boy) which i used the supports from to make the 19" rack mounts..the sides of the bed i took off to make the top bit where the monitor goes - the slats from the headboard turned out to be the perfect size for olivers new bed - as Ikea decided not to box it with slats!

then i bought an ikea expedit - a shelf, which if you turn it on its side, serves as a place to store vinyl, cds, 1 amp, and of course..decks on top!
all for 50.
(bed pictured here without the headboard/sides lol)

when i get back from my holiday - i have about 2k to drop on synths etc etc. cant wait.
as for the cd, i had a listen through and there was nothing in there that was my cup of tea.

word of advice, I see your pillow is quite high. Never stack 2 pillows for sleeping at night, you can do neck damage if you lie in a weird way.

Looking very nice mr Triquatra :) Very impressive tearing up the bed for a production desk while the mrs wasn't looking haha. I'm going to have to tell you off for stacking some of your vinyl horizontally though. Not good for them at all!

Ah, well that's all right then. :) Best way to clean up a vinyl is to coat it in wood clue I find. The next day you can peel it off and you have a spotless record and a funky hat.
Good find on that Ikea cabinet. Looks like it was made for it!

It really is the best way to clean something that needs some attention. My old man has always cleaned his this way as far back as I can remember and never had a single problem. I've been doing it since I've been collecting and likewise, no probs, great results.
I have fond childhood memories of wood glue hats and every surface in the house filled with drying records haha.
You don't need nearly as much glue as that guy used. That's over kill. My dad used to clean everything that needed doing in a second hand record shop this way so I think you can manage a measly 1200. ;)
