I just like the tempo and the energy really. the current sounds don't do much that Trance, Electro etc. don't already do but it just has that different energy.

Happy rhythms and melodies, bouncy kick, trippy breakdowns, amazing vocals and lyrics.

The need for some form of energy. The hard kicks get me going with hard rifts & sometimes a 'happy' feel to keep things veried. Breaks are good when thrown as well. I listen to any Hardcore between 1992 until 1997. Some 2000s Hardcore if it is hard enough. Heard little from 2010.

when i was a kid (haha) - however old i was in 97 (12/13!) it was the speed and the rip-offs/remixes of old songs, was enjoyable music to bang ma head orf. when i was 15 we went to holland on one of our regular holidays out there and i picked up a couple of european hardcore albums (Hellraider, Hardcore and Ravers Night Part 6) which suited my 15 year old grumpy hormones.
nowadays, its still the speed - but i guess people are more legally concious these days so it tends to be cover versions (yawn) or remixes of chart crap, which i didnt even want to hear the original of lol
so yeah, speed.
