Do you think the top tier producers/DJs are too self absorbed in what they are doing they've lost touch with hardcore?

Our scene came back from the dead, fresh new talent with new ideas brought it back, now it seems thats gone and its time to look after ones self again - which results in stale music...

The top tiers music might do well in the clubs but thats because its to a club type crowd who want chart remixes as thats what they get every week anyway.. Im more talking about the wider picture, hardcore on a whole...

I dont think so, maybe one or two (and with them i dont think the style is dry because they are self absorbed), but definatly not the majority in the slightest. i think the issue is with the people who arent top tier who are trying to get the same sound and style

its the same sort of thing as skinny women models in magazines, with an awful lot of women trying to look like one dreadfully boring ideal.

dunno about being self absorbed, don't really wanna throw things like that around but I do think that DJs who have the time should get on the dancefloor and actually rave once in a while as opposed to doing their hour and buggering off. some DJs treat it more like a job than something they actually enjoying being a part of!

too many producers consider themselves professional. As if they're celebrity status and better than the majority of others. They put on a political/diplomatic appearance to us all rather than revealing their true selves. Maybe they think it will lose them sales or something...

Hardcore was huge in the 90s and then dropped. It came back around 2002ish with new ideas and was popular again for a few years but it has died out again latley. The same old sounds by the same old people. Even Darren Styles is going back remixing his 'Anthems' from 2005 such as Sound without a name which was one of the worse tunes I ever heard

I can't really say much about what happened at the big death in 1999-2000. But around that time alot of "anon" tracks appeared (bonkers 7 is full of them for example), will it happen now again?

Maybe acid is really just hixxy trying to act like a newcomer :o

Its on Clubland Extreme Hardcore 1. Styles can't let the mid 2000s go just like I can let the 90s go.

If its your living and you NEED to make money from it then give people what they want, simple as that really.

And in my eyes these guys are celebs, i didnt grow up with pop culture i was hardcore from the age of 9 so musically this is all iv known (hence why i didnt get excited talking to Mily sirus on msn, i didnt have a clue who she was :S ).

When i first met Whizzkid & Storm my mouth wouldnt move and i just pointed to the camera and made a sound that sounded like "PIC"...When i first saw lively i ran across a packed dancefloor pushin people out of the way and just hugged him ( i think he thought i was a bit weird tbh lol) ..When i jumped in Sharkeys car and had to direct him to a nightclub i wanted to sniff the ****in seats!!! Last ones a joke btw lol

So **** it they can act how they wan't id still go to see them live or buy they're records (if i was a dj) even if they act like ****s...Damn man, being a little bit stuck up (not saying anyone is) is **** all compared to artists in other genre's....

I feel like im rambling now and iv started drinking again after 3 weeks dry so il hush now lol....
