I started off with Happy Hardcore & got into the harder stuff later on. I always choose 90s Gabber over 2000s though as the 90s stuff is top quility. Few people get into Gabber over night

most newer people now seem to get into stuff like angerfist and outblast, because its so bland and cheesy and not much different to harder hardstyle

On topic (kind of); the reason I like gabber (I like that name for it, 3.14 ;)), is because it's aggressive, also. Personally I prefer the new school synth kicks over the old distorted 808/909, because they allow more brutality/wickedness (not saying the tracks below are good examples, they're just a few I like), but that's a personal preference, of course.

What is it that's appealing about it? because a lot of ppl say that it's because it's hard but thats exactly what I don't like!!
I mean don't get me wrong I <3 the happiness, but sometimes you need the opposite! It's like a Happy anger :) ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Not for me!! I've been doing about 4 years of happy so far and still going strong! I can out-cheese some of the best =)
