what's everyones opinion on the this concept?

obviously dubstep-inspired, but with all the triplet shit gone. essentially, the whole track would be the breakdown of this track, for the whole track.

see 2:13.

it's pretty much euro i guess but more complex and breakbeat lead. and obviously better synths. this might just be the kind of re-branding hhc needs to be taken seriously once again within the rave scene. still everything you love about it, at 90bpm.

every time i hear a breakbeat remix of a happy hardcore track, i nearly wet my pants even though that's around 130bpm range. if i knew anything about production, but if i did i would be all over this. sexy female vocals + a breakbeat = the next best thing.

any producer want to try this out?

I wasent aware that hhc isn't taken seriously and tbh i dont think people should 're-brand' it just so the mainstream will accept it (isnt that basically what mr styles is doin?)
But anyway i get what ur saying and ill give it ago

i think it would be easier on the ears anyway.

it'd take you half as long to go deaf, at the volume i listen to it at anyway.

and besides, sometimes it's nice to hear the extra space in a beat.

and about not being taken seriously, i mean like within the rave scene. it's still really looked down upon as far as i know by... pretty much any DJ i speak to anyway. things are probably a bit different in the UK, but the general consensus here is that it's some of the "worst" rave music. (not according to me though!)

Hardcore will never be taken seriously. Rippin off what is the current big thing IE Dubstep, D&B won't do much to change this. This thing you're on about isn't really Dubstep inspired, more Rock ballad inspired.

As for the new genre. Hardcore at 90bpm throughout? Where would the raving and dancing come into this new genre? Isn't that what Hardcore is all about? It "proper goes off in a club".

a new genre name comes up every week. I think it's drumstep now, it used to be called 'halfstep d'n'b' but no, it's drumstep now :s

tbh i haven't heard it.

I didnt realise hardcore was ever sposed to be taken seriously. That's what made it fun.

You're having a laugh aren't you? That sort of thing has been in hardcore since the 90's.

i think you're missing the point which was that the whole track would be at that speed, not just one part.

i'm well aware that halftime breakdowns have been a part of hardcore or any music for that matter for a while.
