Although I never actually said that, it's still accurate. It's in no way specific to "awards" either, it's true of anything in life. If something isn't supported, then it will die. This applies to a premature baby, corn crops, political parties ad nauseum.
I'll take the idea that HU4 is similar in some ways to CEH6 as a compliment, although given that HU4 contains over 100 discrete hardcore artists, established and new, contains breakbeat, gabba, and ranges in tempo from <170bpm up to 186bpm it's hardly going to withstand a police line up.
Anyway, in other news we've just finished out latest mini-project and it will go off to manufacture today. Hopefully the fact we prioritise and execute things like that will count for more than my frustrated sleep deprived ramblings.
Watch for an announcement in the coming days.

No disrespect mate, but that's almost exactly what you said:
"Therefore I humbly ask anyone and everyone who wants to see Hardcore Underground continue, and indeed Fracus and Darwin to keep writing hardcore, to not only vote but proactively motivate others to do so too".
I look forward to this new project though. I'm intrigued. :-)

If that isn't breaking through compared to previous stature I'm not sure what is
As for childish.... eh? We've been loss leading and murdering ourselves for 4 years, and literally can't do any more than we are doing at this point. You say it's ridiculous that they are in that category, yet won't actually help them escape it?
CDJay
my point is.. Whats the definition of breakthrough?
It isnt Darwin or Fracus at all... They all ready have a pretty big name they dont need this award to tell the world they have broken through...
They should not be in this catorgary, simple as
Sure storm won best breakthrough in 2008 and he'd been in the scence for 10 years at the time
But back to the matter they'll be geting my vote and i'm only voting this year because of this as i didn't bother voting last year

Voted a few weeks ago
Must admit i thought darwin and fracus were a shu into win this award but now i'm not so sure,as theres a couple of people to challenge and stylus and audiojunkie sprung to mind,i think seen the line up and low and behold stylus and audiojunkie or playing and darwin and fracus aren't,so are we to take from this that darwin and fracus were behind in votes at the time line up was annouced?

I believe they can still make it, with a big enough push over the last few days of voting. :)

I hope they win. Slammin Vinyl seems to lock out North American IPs though - I've tried to vote and it wouldn't let me. A bit ridiculous really...

That has to do with your email account, not your IP. I know for a fact Gmail works, you could always make an account there to vote with.

Voted for them =) Don't understand what the fuss is ...breakthrough or not or whatever they have had a good year.. Raving eye CD, Radio 1, HU2010 playing on the main stages and showcasing more varied styles of Hardcore and they deserve the award IMO. Didn't Al Storm win it last year?and he's been around for abit. It doesn't bother me its just good these guys are getting the recognition they deserve.

That's largely self generated, and therefore not "recognition".
The truth of it is, even with all of the above, all of the albums, all of the releases, all of the licenses.... there's still a significant segment that will only notice peak time main room big rave bookings.
