Hello fellow Happy Hardcorers,
I'm fairly new into Happy Hardcore music, currently I'm listening to Bonkers, DJ Trixxy and some various DJ's but I'm really confused about the whole genre.
I would like if some of you could recommend me some good groups/DJ's so I could extend my Happy Hardcore repertoire with new good tracks of Happy Hardcore.
Thanks!

english or ban!! :P
anyways. ReiKo, an advice, do not check out Trixxy or Vinylgroover's latest stuff, they both stopped producing (Happy) Hardcore just around the millenium change.
We are actually having an arguement about what's Happy Hardcore today and not so it's no wonder it's confusing.
Basicly what you find on Bonkers 1 to 7, Happy2bHardcore 1 to 6 and early hardcore heaven is basicly it :). If you try to listen to Bonkers 8 and later, you will hear more of the updated (UK) sound.

Ill check yout Happy2bHardcore for sure. And hardcore heaven.

DJ Trixxy's More and More and also remixes of popular song's like "Forever Young" or "Like a prayer" are also cool to me.
So basically I'm trying to find specific DJ who is doing Happy Hardcore with specific "sound" to it. One of likes is also "I saw an angel".
Happy Hardcore seems hard to track down for sure.
@latininxtc
Are you sure Hardcore Underground series are in fact Happy Hardcore and not Hardcore solo?

By and large it has more in common with "happy hardcore" than the bulk of other modern compilations.
IMO YMMV

Actually it was "Hi, where are you from? I'm from Fiume/Rijeka, but I like it Vienna"
(Fiume = italian for River, that's the name of a city)
But we discussed this my PM ;)
Groups.. hmm.. CLSM perhaps? Yeah you should check out CLSM, they're great!

Well people, I'm so sad I see Happy Hardcore seems to "die" as music genre. What's most "like it" when we come to sound/vocal? Gabber? Bouncy Techno?
I'm really into happy sentimental songs with techno/electro genre buffed into it.

I'm sick of all this bickering about sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-genres. Does anyone, anywhere ever just listen to a song and then just ask themselves the simple question "Did I enjoy that?"
Instead we have to muck everything all up by liking a genre and trying to decide whether or not the song we just heard was in that genre so we'll know if we're allowed to like it. It's rediculous. Maybe that's what Trixxy and Vinylgroover do, and that's why their shit doesn't sound like it did in the 90s anymore, they've progressed. Rock is still rock even though its changed quite a bit since the 60s. It changes once a year ffs.
When I first got into EDM I though trance and happy hardcore were the same thing for Christ's sake, it didn't affect my ability to enjoy the sound at all.
tl;dr Stop bitching about vaguely defined 10th level sub-genres and just listen to what sounds good.
Also, as a completely off-topic statement: Get the Hardcore Addictions :D

No, don't let them confuse you, happy hardcore isn't really dead. Modern UK Hardcore is still more or less happy hardcore, just an evolved version of it. Where I'm from (Canada), everyone I know refers to the new UK hardcore music as happy hardcore. The thing is that a lot of people in other places around the world only consider the style of the older stuff from the 1990s (for example Trixxy and the earlier Bonkers albums) to be happy hardcore, and simply call the new style of the music UK hardcore. But it still has a totally happy feel to it. You definitely should check out the Hardcore Underground compilations. If you like any of the later Bonkers albums, you'll definitely enjoy it. I hope that clears up some of the confusion for you.

happy hardcore has been dead for a long time and for me, it happened when Djs started trying to make it sound more like conventional music. If you listen to the pre 2000 hardcore and in particular 96/97, the music didn't take itself seriously and sounded alot more free and random where today like samination says, everything is classified into genres.
The old days were better because no one gave a ****.
I do love modern hardcore but it's a different kind of appreciation to the old stuff whereas i hold it in no less regard..... it's just different and instills different feelings.
