Too cheesy? This is Hardcore your talking about. It's a cheesy genre. If you want non-cheese then listen to Breaks or DnB. Why not look for the same thing outside of Hardcore? It doesn't have to be Hardcore to be good! Your looking for stuff that isn't necessarily attributed to Hardcore.

Yeah that's true.. but well, what has around 175 BPM, female vocals, hard kicks and beautiful piano riffs? Hardcore. I just want breakbeats instead of the 4/4 kickdrums. And the new Breakbeat Hardcore tracks are not of the same hardness as the new UK Hardcore tracks, the breakbeats could be harder. Well I still love it.

I know all of these tunes, and I already have them all. But I'm looking for something like DnB, it's much harder... listen to the tunes you posted and then listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhVUfuhy_GU But if someone can recommend be some good Freeform Breakbeat Hardcore (or whatever it's called), go on! It's also cheesy but I'm sure it's cool at the beginning of a DnB set.

So you want 175bpm music with Breakbeats but that isn't D&B? Rather Hardcore with breaks, but the breaks must be harder than they are in Breakbeat Hardcore? Tracks with hard kicks but with female vocals. Nasty, grimey basses but with beautiful piano riffs?
Could you narrow it down a bit?

No I don't need nasty, grimey basses but I need hard kicks haha
DnB is never really melodic (like Hardcore), let's say it like that.. okay let's forget all the Breakbeat Hardcore thing... I'm looking for melodic Drum & Bass! Which is harder than the usual Liquid :)

There's plenty of very melodic DnB, it's just generally more subtle than hardcore
From my experience, the difference between breakbeat hardcore and dnb isn't the kicks, it's the bass, the depth/complexity of the percussion and the way the synths/pianos are mixed... In hardcore you'll find a lot less subtlety and the pianos and synths will be a more dominant feature whereas in DnB they will take a backseat and are only there to enhance the bassline, which is the driving force...
Harder DnB would be hard to be make very melodic without being subtle about it because the percs/bass would take up so much of the mix. At least, that's my feeling from having made some more DnB ish tunes....
I mean, Darwin has recently made some tracks that are essentially dnb with a hardcore writing/mixing style ("the answer") but they're not "hard".

Er, Liquid? And D&B is not comparable with Hardcore.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YeeF_TXQ54 That is all. Doesn't get any more melodic than that.

Not a band tune, not particularly melodic though? But wow, that sample loses all effect it's used so much.

I've never heard a more melodic DnB tune. It's pure melody.

Ahhh epic tune! Hadn't heard that one before ;)
But now that's too much like DnB lol, the cheesy melody is missing! But don't get me wrong, this sounds great great great!
I guess it's time to invite something... well actually I already did a tune that is both between DnB and Breakbeat Hardcore, maybe I'll upload it!
