could some one tell me how to use this vsti.......cus im clueless or point me in the direction of a manual.

it cant be hard mate, send us a screeney if you can and what host are you using? cubase, floops etc.

ive heard u can use fm7 as a standalone but if i did use a host id probably use cubase sx

People say "You are killing the HHC scene if you d/l MP3's", well it's the same thing with soft synths except you are killing the HHC, Trance, Jungle, and the rest of the electronic scenes. It's nice to see that self serving double standards are alive and well in the HHC scene (at least on this site).
People work hard to make those synths you are stealing. Probably harder than the producers making the music you love so much and you just shiit on them. Look at the price of a Virus C compared to Absynth or FM7. Generally speaking the soft synth equal of a "hard" synth costs about 5-10 times less and people still have the gall to not only steal them but then to come to forums and ask people to teach them how to use these stolen products. If you are broke there are plenty of free soft synths available for d/l, they generally aren't as good but at least you aren't putting people out of a job that are trying to support your scene by encouraging the theft of these products. And if you are going to continue to try to kill the scene by stealing at least have the decency to not ask other people to waste their time telling you how to use these programs.</rant>

OK i did download it but even if i id buy it id get a second hand one which probably wouldnt have a manual and maybe people out there have done that they have an excuse to ask for help....dont they.
even if i did buy it and it had a manual id still need help.

Curly: I don't mean any personal offense to you at all by the way. It's just that on every music forum i'm on there are people that are complaining about stolen stuff, like MP3's, rythms, sounds, presets, etc... but no one ever complains about the theft of synths and I don't quite understand it. I also believe that the price for these synths is extremely low and I know there are at least 20 decent free synths and 30 or way more not-so-decent ones that people could get. They are generally easier to use and will teach people how to use more advanced synths if they ever choose to buy/steal one.

I have NEVER seen a soft-synth going second hand without a manual. Ever. And I have been watching Ebay and HarmCent for a long time which is how I knew that you d/l it illegally. Well that and the fact that 90% of people that have these things don't own them...

Personally I would prefer it if everyone would buy their software cause then the quality of the new software would be way better. That being said I don't really care too much if poor people (students and stuff) go and steal software, but several of the forums I currently fequent are being flooded with tons of "How do I use this Stolen Software" threads and I (and many many others) are just getting sick of it. I mean most of this stuff isn't very hard to use for anyone with any experience with synthesizers and if you go and d/l Absynth as your first synth and don't have a manual you will probably never figure most of it out. Which is why i suggest people go get free synths first at least to learn on, both because they are easier to use and becuase they come with a free manual. But to answer the original question: IMHO no, no one has any excuse for posting a thread on how to use stolen software in a public forum.

I have purchased 2 Native Instruments products and after seeing the super great manuals that come with them I'd have to say that if the manual doesn't help you then no one in a forum could either.

I didn't mean to be harsh or rude, i'm sorry if you took it that way. I also know of 2 or 3 free FM synths with less (like 2-4) operators and less options than the FM7 that would be better to learn the ins and outs of FM synthesis on. I forget the names and stuff, but i'll look when I get home and post them if you'd like. Plus they have manuals included and maybe web support thru the people that made them. I think if you learned a less complex 2 operator FM synth you could then jump into FM7 and have no problems picking it up :)
