I've been looking at these and they seem like really good tables. A website I visit is selling them for 300 dollars each. I know they are only 100 dollars less than Technic 1210's at the same site. I know most clubs/raves I would have play out at would have technics but these seem tempting.

i always say if a deck's got loads of features then there's loads to go wrong. sure they might be cheaper than technics but i can't see them lasting 20 years like 1210's. an extra $100 for a deck that'll last you an extra 15 years or so is a better investment imo.
and let's look at these features that aren't on technics
key adjust - you'll get quantisation errors because this isn't exactly a science yet in real time.
spdif out,must admit it's handy,but only if you got an spdif in on your mixer,not very many and hard to get without leaving you broke
phono/line output - come on every mixer's got a phono in,useless!!
pitch bend - i'd love to see someone do a perfect mix not touching the platter at all when the deck is getting on and this slider has been used once too many lol
and 78 rpm playback - how many 78's do you own?

Even though I really some of the things on these deck I will probably go Technics when I have to upgrade from my sucky Gemini XL-500 (Hey, I'm a newbie dj, needed something to cheap)
Line out - It's good for hooking up synths, groove boxes to your deck. Good for making mixes better but how often you going to use this playing out at a club or rave. Not very much.
Selectable Pitch Adjust - 8, 16, and 25 - Sure, you're going to have a greater variety of what music you can mix into what.. but then you won't have this when you play out and they place only has technics.
Spdif out - Good for hooking up to your computer make a mix but then again you could do that anyways with your technics.
Now, I'm just a newbie but yes, this does seem too much trouble than it's worth. I am getting technic 1210's when I can, and I dunno if they have reverse platter, but if they don't you can always get that modded, same with modding double pitch, right?

yeh you can get a reverse kit and pitch them up. but don't do it till your warranty runs out coz in the unlikely chance they break,they won't get replaced.
hint: go for mk3's with a pitch reset and dipless pitch slider. nothing worse than the pitch being a tad over the centre and it's in the dip where you can't get that perfect pitch

if you want to save some money but have decks like the techies, go for the gemini 2400's.
i have used the str8-100's, and dont like them, they are ment to be for scratching, but the motor doesnt seem as good as it should be, no where near the techie or gemini motor.
another deck you might want to look at is the numark tt-200's

i got str8-50's an they work a treat, belt drives too :) had em for comin up to a year an no problems (apart from the day i got em when i bust a fuse from playin with it for 8 hours flat)
