Not sure whether that was made "back in the day" or not because I've only been into hardcore for about a year but it's a pretty cool tune.
Don't you not prefer the original? Was an absolute classic when it came out, i can still remember but was quite young at the time.
wasnt flaming june an old skool dance track? think its on one of the wild gold cd's, #2 disc 2 i believe.

Because with "back in the day" I ment "back when he started with it", it doesn't necesarrly (or however you write this) mean back in the early 90s...

Whilst I am a huge fan of some of his earlier stuff ( Save Our Souls, In the End ) I'd struggle to note any negative quality variance in his work since. His production has improved markedly, allowing the effort, musicality and detail to shine through. Which is nice. Always an effort to work on a spread of styles, drawing on a range of influences, which is all too rare.
In 2008 you had stuff like Nothing There, Calm Me Down, Takes You Back, Come on Out...
In 2009 you had stuff like Let Me In Remix, Kickin Stuff, Your Own Destiny, Without Fear, I Know Where I Stand....
In 2010, well...... The premier stuff is being worked, and sat, on.
Patience, oh ye of little faith
That artist album shall be surfacing this year too, albeit not as might have been expected.

I know he's a good guy, and I really appreciate him, especially for giving me his unreleased material for mixes and KraftyRadio shows, but I think if his tunes had a little bit harder kick they'd be even better :) Like the early ones! But wait, what exactly is deeper territory? Isn't that his alias for harder stuff? Maybe that's what I'm looking for!?
Edit: Checked out some tracks, and it seems like it's his DnB Alias? Tell me if I'm wrong please! Do you know some harder stuff from him? I remember I heard some of it once.

If you're after "big kick" stuff, then you're probably in luck as he's recently finished a fair few tracks in that vein.
One verifiable example would be the Darwin and Entity remix of "Until the Day I Die" Clip Here which features briefly on the Kutski & Al Storm CD of HU4. Another would be "When the Sun Comes Out" Clip Here which was released via Rebuild Music.
My favourite example, though, is one of those things I'm sitting on. I could feign regret but it wouldn't be very convincing.

I think its always an eyeopener when somebody lists work done by a producer, as over the years you forget the amazing tracks they have done...
Calm Me Down
Nothing There
Let Me In
I Know Where I Stand
He gets better year on year....and CDJay....
I cant believe you forgot to mention his....
Let Me Be Your Fantasy remix....that is sooooo good

The original mix of Take A Ride (this version: http://www.hardbeatstore.com/mp3/16005-1-b.mp3) is still Darwin's best tune imo. Completely unique and dosn't have a cheesey Trance riff in sight (that's not what makes it good, it just helps). In response to In The End, the Cube Hard remix is an absolutely epic tune. Of recent stuff When The Sun Comes Out is the best tune by an absolute mile, it's the only song that i've really liked that i can think of for years.

I think that the oldest Darwin track I know is Take A Ride, and Gammer's remix makes it completely useless to even flip that record over and damage your needle on the original's side.
Apart from that, I'm not exactly familiar with Darwin's earlier works. I love Every Day and Love Isn't Easy, but those two songs aren't exactly some of his first either.
Oh and about Higher, Forever, are we discussing the track by Contraption a.k.a. Joost Boonekamp here? If so, what would that have to do with Darwin?
Darwin remixed higher forever a year or two ago and it was released by HU as a freebie.
I adore the Gammer remix of Take a ride. I used to hammer that.
Like CDJay said, Darwin is the genius behind tracks like nothing there, your own destiny, calm me down, don't be lonely, sunset blue, takes you back, go this way, future shock, etc. I can't think of many darwin tracks that don't impress me.
From the point of view of musical complexity and originality, his tracks are at the top of my list. Today, Darwin is to me what Cube Hard was in 2006, what Euphony was in 2005 and what UFO was in 2003-2004. Musical genius ;)

Yeah, can't really say I agree with the original post. He's still churning out great stuff, definitely a skilled musician overall, not just producer.

I never had a problem with any of Darwin's music; some of the cheesier songs I wasn't always a fan of, but his talent is nothing to play around with. Takes You Back is probably my favorite "older" track of his, and now my favorite track he has is probably A Way Forward or his remix of Let Me In.
Anything this guy does is ridiculous though--big ups to Darwin.
Edit: Oh, and Calm Me Down--amazing track.
