ok so my sister is a big time vollyball player out here in canada and shes made the 2nd cnadian team (pretty good for a 17 year old grade 11 student i think)
and some sort of competition (i cant keep track) was to be held in mexico in middle of september but due to swine flue, has been moved to Blackpool (for the beach im assuming remember vollyball:P)
the point is....
IM ****IN COMMING TO ENGLAND FINNALLY! its where my family's from-my mom was born there and ive et to be over...the only "English" person i know whos never been to the homeland..
NOW i coach a hockey team, AAA (The highest level..like kids will be drafted off my team) and the plan for this trip is 15-20th of septemeber and i THINK the season will have started. this is my JOB so it will not be a given i can miss, although the head coach is my brother and he's been across the pond before so i believe i should be able to come.
the point is.... IM ****IN COMMIN TO BLACKPOOL FOR A WEEK!
WHO lives neer there and wants to meet!?
WHAT RAVES are goin on that weekend and WHO's taken me!!!!
and also YEAA BUDDY! lol oh and its not that far and im a MASSIVE LIVERPOOL fan (start the cheers or jeers now) so id like to catch a game, as ive never been to anfield although liverpool came to toronto once and lost spectacularly 1-0 to porto.
side note: for all the non-north americans on here-where your family is from especially in toronto, is kinda a big deal for some reason, and in my experience with europeans this doesnt translate well...im CANADIAN and thats that:P but its not! lol not where im from

ive never seen someone so excited to go to blackpool haha
Blackpool is a prime example of northern england and im sure you will enjoy going there, as for clubs they have the biggest club in the uk there, (syndicate) i think they have the htid experience there sometimes.. some big names at that :P
as for a game at anfield i reccomend it... theres nothing better than the atmosphere at a proper game, although i have no experience of scoucer fc. im guessing its alot better than all those southern teams (not including salford red sox (united) and portsmouth) anyway.

haha im in blackpool.. we had the vollyball champs lat year... wondered why the still have the stadium on the beach...

haha well i dont mind, i just want to go to England...also, im there for at least a week, we're thinking maybe longer now, and im from a country where the next major city your likely to find in an atlas is about 4 or 5 hours away lol. so i have no problem traveling to different cities for a night or 2, depending on when my sister is playing, how long she plays, and how long we stay.
plus..biggest club in the UK? that plus a few pubs should do me well to start at least!
id really really like to get to a hardcore party-even a small one before i leave. id love to see how its done over there with my own eyes and bring that experience back here to pojects i'm involved in...oh and just go bannanas cuz im on vacation:P

Wilky if you live in Blackpool then you have no excuse to not meet up with Jester, at least for a few drinks! I can't afford to travel myself at the moment or id be up for it myself, would cost about 60 quid though just to get there. Yeah trains here aren't cheap...

It's unfortunate you aren't coming August as there is a HTID right at the end of the month, which i also happen to be going to. You could do with speaking to someone who knows all the raves are going on in September and which would be the best for you so you don't end up wasting your time or anything. It's unfortunate there is no major raves that month (that i know of, but again, this is where that person would come in).

That's a different event to the one i mean, but i didn't even know about the other HTID, Jester your incredibly unlucky because HTID's are never held in Blackpool yet there is one held there on the 7th of September and you will be missing it.
