Trying another style I've never done before :p
I've always been afraid of giving old school breaks a go, but the other day I was ****in about with Fruity Slicer and the Amen, made a few beats that imo were decent, so I built a song up around it ;p also threw on some vintage 4x4 kicks, cheesy piano and weird leads for good measure ;)

after the break at 1.39 i wudda let the hats come along with the track and eventually stop around 2.07
the crash on 2.20 shud (imho) be longer/more fading around.. there follow more crashes that can use this aswell..
overall it lacks a bit of percussion usage.. (huh wtf is talking bout now O.o??) .. well mainly the use of hihats and crashes.. yes theres some in there but they dont come out much really.. its more 'rides' that u use for wot i hear.. proper hihats aint used.. fill them in on some parts (like the ones i mentioned about) i think that will give the track a little extra boost :)
either way.. sounds very nice :) oldschool breaks sure are something i love ;)

The break is way too loud for a start and needs chopping up and EQ'ing to take away the bottom end so the big 4/4 Kick can be heard when it comes in and to clean up the individual hits and improve the production quality overall. You could have changed the break up a little at some point too to stop it getting so repetitive. I do like the piano arp, but the whole track sounds like youve just shoved a load of Old Skool souding samples together without much though going in. Stabs, Amens and big kicks and not much else. It needs more and a bit more time spent on production quality too.
