Hi,

well I don't know if many of you know but kev willow has posted this on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABBjZ4qxz8U

People have to basically remix his melody into a song so he can help them out with what they are doing right and wrong and as you can see many people have responded with their remixes.
Great idea in my opinion.

Well here's my version anyway:

It's not the best, only been learning how to use fruityloops for about a few weeks, had it ages but never had time to use it before now, i think ive made a fair effort, as their are some pretty bad ones in the responses!
Thought I would post it up to see what people thought and also give people the chance to try their selves if they haven't seen this yet

Cheers

Don't think thats a bad remix at all!

Liked it more than the other 6 or 7 remixes I heard.

Just letting people know that I've enhanced the first remix I did, been working on it quite a bit:

Some feedback would be good if possible :)

Ill write it as i listen mate.

Like the little synth effect you got going on in the beginning, im not keen on the clap. The bass sounds ok at first, bit donky but not bad, then when it changes note it sounds wrong like it cant produce those frequencies. I dont know if it would make a difference but is it a sample or one you made yourself using a synth? And theres like a noise playing throiughout i think, might be with the bass i cant really tell, but it sounds wrong,

Breakdown and that clap again, really dont like it and its a bit loud in the mix. As is the open hat when it gets back into the track. The lead isnt very prominent and gets a bit boring. Again that little panning synth comes in when the track drops down again, like it. 2nd breakdown something happens to the kick, maybe a bit of automation on the cut off that could use some work, its like its going to fade out but never does. Overall the track is just a bit boring really, very safe UK Hardcore, and it never really builds up and explodes, if you know what i mean. But youve not been producing long and youre pretty good for the amount of time you have, there are some good points to this track, so keep it up mate.

Thanks alot for your views :)

I know I'm starting to hate that bass myself to be honest, not hardcore-enough. Well it is a SF2 soundfont I used for the synth so I din't make it, I do know how to make sounds in V-Station now but they seem to over power the rest of my songs for some reason :\

Thanks again :)
