It should be made so that the signature field just doesn't accept [img] tags in the first place.
Lately a lot of people are putting images in their signatures.

I say just dont make the image tags work in signatures.
Make avatars a bit bigger if anything. Adding more width to the avatar wouldnt change the layout much at all. But adding a graphic sig makes just that much more scrolling. And i really dont care how awesome people think their banner is, i dont want to see it gazillion times a day if it doesnt involve womens breasts.
silver i think you should make the images work in the profile and gif's in avatars, rather then add something pointless. But thats just my 2 cents :)
