If this track is by Brisk & Ham, then the "unknown" is the original.
I should know since I have had Angel Eyes/Gettin Down on vinyl, and bought the digital versions.
Because of the low bitrate, I can't hear if the intro has been editied on the "original". But to me the "original" is the remix, while "unknown" is the released version. either that, or your mate (or you) have got an pre-release version of the track.
Could also be poorly ripped from vinyl. I have had tracks where I've only had highhats on one side, or where the highhats occationally returns, just to fade away (Q-tex - Gensis, if someone has the same track and same problem)

Sorry, I flipped the links around when reuploading, let me fix that. 
I doubt it's a poorly ripped version, as they both sound rather different in areas.
