By artist do you mean producer? I'd have to say John Graham (including collaborations like Tilt) or Oliver Lieb, everything they release is wicked without a doubt

i dont know, i would have to say Ferry Corsten(gouryellla,system f).... ive loved everything he has produced! except for that god awful "dance valley theme" song. ugh...

i can't believe someone said ATB ;) 9 PM is possibly the worst wannabe-trance track i've ever heard.
i'd definitely agree that Tilt needs to be mentioned... slacker, Bedrock, Humate, james holden, Sasha/Evolution, Breeder, lemon-8... or for more prog trancey stuff: origin, paul van dyk, armin van buuren/major league, moonman, push, rank1, solar stone...

I like ATB....the 9pm ('till I come) too
I agree he's not the best trance artist, or do the best trance songs...but it got it's thing.
I don't think it's fair to choose, trance changes every year, so some may sound better then others before.
I like the Bass to go BOOM!!!

Lange is probably my favourite, especially Follow Me & Believe. ATB isn't that bad, he was probably the first trance artist to make it in the charts.

i just wanted to put an artist that didnt do songs like this:

>uplifting trance melody
>15 minute breakdown with lots of wind, seagulls and dolphin noises. possibly a guitar or two..
