Sydney, it is time for a change.
Powerhouse Productions, the team behind Australia’s biggest Hard Dance events for over 13 years, have kept their ears to the ground and are listening to their patron’s cries. Back in the day it was the Home Grown heroes who always rocked the party, the local DJs who knew how to create that ultimate high – forever imprinting unforgettable memories in our minds.
So now Utopia is transfusing the rave & club scenes, mixing the past with the present - & bringing together over forty of Australia’s Best DJs to showcase their talent, for one night only…
Take that journey through the darkened corridor just before you enter the main arena, your heart will accelerate as you feel the approaching beats slowly penetrating your body. Could this be real? Looking from the grandstands you will be in awe as you absorb the visual magnificence that can only be described as UTOPIA. With a production extraordinaire like no other, the Utopia Arena will hold the most highly advanced laser and intelligent lighting technology in the country, with truckloads of staging & theme props all to be topped with the biggest sound system in the southern hemisphere!
Flying in from the Interstates - Melbourne’s dark master DJ Hellraiser will enforce his acid reign over Sydney, whilst PHD mastermind DJ Soul –T brandishes his own underground style of ‘Pure Hard Dance’. From Brisbane, superstar DJ S3RL is set to summersault into a supercharged frenzy of Happy Hard beats!
Others will take a trip back in time to the HISTORY OF HARPPY HARDCORE Arena which will embrace the sounds of yesterday, with Australia’s leading DJs playing the biggest tracks which once rocked the dance floor – this arena will be set in an 18+ environment with a rocking bar to boot. Clubbers will rejoice as the MASIF Arena captures only the best in Hardance, Hardtrance, and Hardstyle …all decked out with MASIF props and décor! And for those with a faster fetish – the Godspeed Arena is built with the hardest artillery in the nation! We have handpicked the cream of the crop in terms of Happy Hardcore, Hardcore, and Gabber.

UTOPIA HITS ACER ARENA FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2004
The Acer Arena is one of the most exciting and innovative entertainment complexes in the world! Located in the true heart of Sydney, it’s easy to get to by train and packs plenty of parking if you’re driving. Renowned for its world class facilities and Olympic size proportions, it is without doubt one of the most amazing places to throw down a STADIUM – style party!
The Utopia Arena allows plenty of scope to transform the space into a dance event of universal proportions, with its mammoth ceilings and stadium like settings – only the most electrifying atmospheres is inevitable. While the Godspeed, Masif and Reunion Arenas will be decked out with the most amazing staging and production setup, nothing is left to be desired!
PRODUCTION
A few times a year you will count every day, you will awake with the anticipation that you are just one day closer. You will speak to others and you will share with them your excitement. They will see in your eyes that you are focusing on something that is so outstanding, so mesmerising that they too will be drawn into this mystical buzz.
These few times a year are when you await an event of such scale and magnitude that very few words can describe the sensation of anticipation. They are especially exciting because you know, in your heart and in your mind, that on finally getting to that day, transporting yourself to the giant venue, entering the main arena, that on finally arriving inside this behemoth you will be awaited by quite possibly the largest and most advanced production set up you have ever witnessed.
You know that the lasers will sweep you up and take you further than the music alone could. You will know that the pounding of the bass bins will shoot through the floor and up your whole body, driving manically through your spine and into every part of you. You know that seeing yourself jumping and pumping on the giant video screens will send not only you but all around you into a childlike buzz. This is what you have been waited for, and it has been worth the wait.
A conglomeration of the most highly advanced party technology, lasers so powerful they require rivers of water to keep them cool, lights so advanced they move in unison like a miniature army. Video screens so large they make the Hollywood boys envious. A Powerhouse event is a powerful event, you know it, and you wait in great anticipation.

DOOR POLICY
• Both body pat downs and bag searches on entry. Anyone found with any prohibited items will be denied entry into the event.
• Roaming security teams inside the venue will ensure the event is trouble free during the event.
• Zero tolerance policy on violence and anti-social behaviour.
• Promoter reserves the rights to refuse entry.
• Promoter reserves the right to remove anyone breaking the rules from the event.
• No Lads or Lad Clothing. Example - Stripped polo shirts or Skin Baseball caps.
• Anyone wearing prohibited clothing inside the venue will be removed from the event.
• Weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol and chewing gum are prohibited.
• Markers and all graffiti tools are strictly prohibited. Anyone found to have these items on them will be refused entry.
• If you’re not coming for the love of the music and the scene then please don’t come.
• Acer Arena Security and Local Police are will ensure these policies are enforced throughout the event.
DRESS THE PART – UV MADNESS!
In the past we have had many great themes at our event, but none better then the theme that we had a Prophecy – Ultraviolet in February 2006. It was amazing to see every one dressed in fluoro/white clothing and covered in glow sticks, candy and glowing products. So without sounding too unoriginal, LET’S DO IT AGAIN!
We’re going to supply an array of UV cannons firing into the crowd all night long, so dress up in glow wear! Special prizes will be awarded to the best and brightest dressed on the night! Prizes for best dressed will be issued at the door on arrival, so when you arrive make sure you have the glow production cracked and ready to glow. Winners of these prizes will receive free annual passes to all Powerhouse events plus get chance to dance on the main stage for most of the night and hang in the VIP area with all the DJs and crew.

TRANSPORT INFORMATION
The Acer Arena is a relaxed 1 min walk to the Sydney Olympic Park Station. For those driving in, there is a giant secure multi storey car park directly behind the centre. Late night buses will be running from the venue all night to connect to Strathfield Station which has an all night service.
