go for it if u dont like it drop out of the class
ive dropped out of plenty of boring classes
but music production as long as u can make what type of music u want sounds fantabulisticaca (yes that is a word well it will be i bet u)

20 years ago they called it disco.
20 years later now its hardcore techno.
where will we be 20 years from now.
this is happyhardcore.com
were showing you how.

I'm not sure how long the program is but in Boston there is the Berkley School of Music (I actually think there are a few in the Boston area), I have a DJ friend that is graduating this year. Maybe you can look it up on the Web.

i finish my music technology course in a week
basically they teach you the basics of cubase at the start then before you know it you're doing live pa's,recreating tv adverts, doing remixes, recording live bands and of course, making your own tunes.
but there's a lot of theory behind it like digital audio and studio design etc so if you can get round the brainstorming bits you'll be fine

hmmn... I am also pondering into schools for production work. I've written to alot of them and so far I am still looking at the FullSail school in Florida. It seems good though they offer more then just degrees in Audio Engineering. You'll get an Associates Degree of Science in Audio Engineering with this one. Also there is an awesome school in Greenwich New York, NY. Its about $8,000 dollars for a 900 hours course which takes almost a year if you go full time. I hear its one of the best though, all you get out of it however is certification and a really nice intern program. So if anyone knows where I could truely find a good school worth the money and provide an indepth education and not a "become a recording engineer in a matter of weeks" course, if I spend money its spent well, not worthless. Just my bit of that..

yea musictech is the name of the school up here. It has all the audio engineering and all that, a couple courses on mixing, and i think theres a music theory course thrown in there. THe only problem is i have to give em a demo to get accepted......................i dont understand that. the hole point i wanna go there is to learn how to create and produce music, if i already knew how, why the hell would i apply for the course? (which really means i dont have the equipment or software to make a demo) but ive 'eard alot obout berkly(however you spell it) in boston. my friend was gunna go there, but now hes going two years at music tech then another two years down at fullsal in florida.

I would guess they wanted to see the potential you had from the demo, however your right it seems somewhat redundent. Also if you have the money you can go pretty much go anywhere, I suppose. It'll take me a while to save up for school, but I have a good 3-4 years still ahead of me to save up so it shouldnt be a problem.
