We are planning a trip to Australia at the end of July, Beginning of August. I was wondering if there was anything in the planning for this time of year that we could check out while we are there!?

Don't forget that is the middle of winter for Australia :)
There are events near weekly in Sydney at least, check the events section around June ish to find them, normally they are promoted 1-2 months ahead of time.

Youll be here about the right time for the next Utopia. Big party. And according to most professionals ive spoken to, we have some fairly large parties compared to msot countries.
The scene is a bit different at a rave in Australia compared to the uk i have heard. There are probably some things you wont like.
Still. Big parties = big fun.
*EDIT* Silver is right we have events usually weekly but most of thema rent very big. Also keep in mind that depending on where in the U.S. You are, even though its mid-winter here, its still nowhere near as cold as your winters. :)

in sydney, utopia is on 30th June if u r here for it. check out http://www.powerhouseproductions.com.au/ for info. on 14th july euforix is on in canberra, and Hardcore Invasion is 18th Aug http://www.hardcoreinvasion.com.au/. If its general clubbing, not necessarily hardcore, check out http://www.inthemix.com.au/whatson/?city=1 or forums.echild.info. echild has a pretty complete list of hardcore or hardtrance/hardstyle parties. should be enough to satisy.
