Mines out of the paper from the chippy with loads of salt and vinegar! just asking because the wife will only eat oven (because they are healthier) but they taste like f**king cardboard!

i prefer frozen chips dun in the fryer, everyone else i no prefers to peel spuds then fry em.

Salt and vinegar because you can't get it in Japan, only a few times have I seen it.

I've seen fried chicken, steak, crab and sour plum flavoured chips in Japan, they all taste like crap.

Personally i cant stand salt and vinegar on chips. Plenty of ketchup though.
And Sea Weed crisps must be the worst flavour.

Have you tried mccains homefries? I find they're perfectly acceptable as oven chips. Just make sure they're cooked properly, nothing worse than undercooked oven chips.
You're right though, from the chippy with loads of s&v is definitely the way fried potatoes should be eaten.
