Have to say i find that really petty, i'm not properly scottish tbh but spent most my life there. Was born in manchester and families mainly mix of english and northern ireland.
But i've watched scotland games loads in pubs the last few years i've been livin down south again and most people wish good luck to us or dont care about the scotland team one bit. Jus seems sad that so many people care about england losing the other way around.
I've been to england and scotland games and have to say i've preferred watchin england. As a rangers fan grew up singing rule brittania and god save the queen, i cant then watch scotland the next week and boo the same songs. Think thats why quite a few other rangers fans support england or n ireland.
People will disagree and doesnt bother me, i like to see both countries do well but my club gets me goin a lot more

Totally agree with you. I support all the home nations over any other country at any time.
Football I am English
Rugby its Wales
They are my first loves but happier to see Northern Ireland, Scotland and Eire do well than say Cameroon who I also love since Milla in 90. He got me into football.
We are close neighbours and should be beating Germany but then I am sure Celts feel the same way towards England a lot of the time.
Six Nations....5 matches to beat the French ( see english again!! )

Before you say it, yes I know where Wales are in the table too. Not a good year for me there. Have to look to Wolves and the Pool for any footie success too. Not hopeful.

That is true cause they wuld get millions more pounds winning the uefa cup and the prem and man u fans would much prefer boasting that they are the best in europe and england than the fa cup winners but it aint all abut man u is it. Think about watford, Spurs ,Blackburn, Middelborough and chelsea.

Also the carling cup is considered a major honour, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, many of the the big clubs have had a stab at winning it recently. Besides, the commentators enjoy calling it a major trophy, even though in my opinion it is a sh!te one.
