I'd say technically Man U are a better team, but then again I wouldn't put it past Liverpool to beat anyone. I don't support either of them so it doesn't really bother me, I support all British teams in Europe, except maybe Celtic...

For a start I am from the West Midlands. It was my nan who was the scouser and that's how far back my history with the club goes, I would agree with Jenks that on Paper Man U has a better squad but say we are living in the past is just a bit stupid. I would say Gerrard, Rise and Kuyt are as good as any top flight footaller gets. I do not just refer to Europe which if you win you will be singing differently. I also refer to the 80s where we we the dominant team throughout the decade, Rush, Molby, Kenny D, Walsh, Grob. Truely they were glorious days. I admit, we have never had a team like that since although the Fowler Owen and Macmanaman period is also still a favorite.
Aside of that with Houllier we won a poor man's treble and the Champions League with Benitez. AND THESE ARE OUR ROCKY TIMES!! It took Ferguson 5 year's to turn the team around which I grant he has done ( even if he has a diving cheating portugese model in his side ) .
I don't see it as needed to swear either, its footbal, its a game. Anyway if Liverpool do win, I will look forward to your rats stew and if Man Utd win, I will think ok perhaps Ferguson shouldn't have retired when Utd could have got O'Neil. Even though they are arch-rivals I have always admired Utd, How can a fan not after Cantona in the 90s.
Now can they drop 9 points no probably not but strikers are a problem ain't they, letting Larsson go was real dump but hey don't worry you've got Saha and Smith ( The good old Leeds boy ) and of course O'shea will suddenly become a new Keane rather than a Nicky Butt. I suppose if ferguson gets desperate he can always bring in Andy NEVER PLAY FOR ENGLAND Cole.
So in conclusion, I prefer Utd to any London team barring Charlton and perhaps West Ham ( or am I just feeling sorry for them? ) If they win the League better that and a competition over domination of one team with the most money and that goes for Celtic who I do support ( sorry Jenks )
I am not a pool fan who thinks we are suprime we could do with better players but then as yet we don't have the money do we. However soon a new stadium and back to glory days.
So don't be so defensive, your at the top and probably going to win, shame we were the better team on the day and have a better history but hey 'its a funny old game' ( he was a pool player too )

OMG! I'm not going to hear the last of this at work! Ffs Liverpool, what were you doing? Get a bloody grip! Any team is better than Manchester United! I hate em, hate em, hate em so very much. They should be stopped from playing football altogether.

You really think Liverpool have a better history?
*looks at Heysel*
*looks at Hillborough*
Shameful history? Yes. Better? No.

Get with the times man
As for Liverpool, all the fans are very jealous that Manchester United have been the dominant force of the last decade (at least). They would do anything to get there hands on the premiership which i think will never actually happen. I must say though that Manchester United are also jealous of Liverpool, because of there success in Europe. However, united are more of a recognised and respected team throughout europe. Liverpool vs Barca, Liverpool where the underdogs. United vs Barca, United would still be the underdogs but not as much as Liverpool (a long way off actually, just pop down the bookies!) The liverpool vs man utd game is a good one for the neutrals anyway (jenks)

Man U are the most consistent team in the premiership but the best team is Arsenal!!
Jus because they are the best 2 watch, And plus they are the only team other then Chelsea to be unbeaten by the big clubs. Chelsea always pull out a result but they are the shitist team to watch. Come on u Gunners.
PSV are gonna AV IT!

I am told to get with the times and then have to read about Arsenal who are past the sell by date by a at least a couple of years. Without Henry you would be doomed. Don't get me wrong perhaps in another five years the prof will get it right again.
As to our History the two are not comparisions. We were punished for the Brussels disaster and that was our fans not our team but in regards to Hillsborough that was a disaster I watched live from home as a little boy. I don't think you can call it shameful unless you are talking about the organisation rather than fans that were crushed to death.

Henry hardly even plays these days, I'd have to agree with Elias, Arsenal are definatly the best team to watch in the Premiership imo, they are just far too inconsistent, Spurs I think are a quality team as well and good to watch but suffer the same luck Arsenal, not up to top 4 quality like but still better than you'd think by looking at the table imo...

It Kills me to say it as an Arsenal fan but your right spurs are a good technical side who play some great football which has got to be credited to Martin Jol.
Henry is gettin old but is still one of the best strikers in the world and if arsenal are shit without henry then Liverpool where beaten by a shit Arsenal side at Anfield in the carling cup. And as for saying arsenal would be dammed without henry you could say the same about liverpool without Steven G, Man U without Ronaldo or Chelsea without Drogba.
The Hillsborough disaser didnt jus affect liverpool because all English clubs were banned from europe and i think Arsenal won the league twice in that period, but your right you cant compare the two clubs history because liverpool would win hand dwn over most clubs in Europe let alone England.

uproar ur a tit how can u blame the hillsborough disaster on the liverpool fans, ow thick can u get?
n elias i dont think it would make much of a differnece if stevie G were out of the side for a bit hes had very little to no input watsoever in most games so far this season, he shouldnt b captain bein the player he is. the players r lost without any instruction or a kick up the backside they need some1 like carragher to take over the captaincy he'd do just that. but elias i agree wit u about arsenel - brilliant side to watch this season with or without henry. i dont even think liverpool fans n players should b ashamed about losing to the youngsters in the carling cup, theyre an amazin side...
f*ck mourhinio! wenger's the special one!
hes done great things for that club. wish we had sum1 like that at liverpool.
