quote: Born Again Evangelical Christians are fundamentalist radicals that are leading an extremist movement using children.
They believe that ... all » they are at war with us and they are dangerous. They are raising a generation of child soldiers by brainwashing impressionable children. They abuse and brainwash these children just as Adolf Hitler did in Germany.
This is a moral issue that our rational and caring society must tackle.
This video I made contains clips from the recent documentary "Jesus Camp" that reveals the shocking beliefs and reality behind the Evangelical Church of America.
Ya know, I'm no longer a church going Christian but this is some pretty stupid shit. I'm more worried about the idiot who made this video than "evilgelicals".

must say i agree with you there. i mean seriously, if over 10% of the population is involved with this it cant be quite as bad as its made out to be can it. seems to be bit of an overreaction if u ask me

mmm, yeh i rekon i can - 1984. that alone is probably the worst combination i could think of. ever. Also, i am curious - what is so bad about fundamentalism? Actually, if my understanding is correct, it was the Evangelical Church of America that appointed the gay bishop, which according to christian fundamentalist doctrine, is probably the most un-fundamental decision by a mainstream church in the history of the church.

Before starting on the subject matter ill just say the film needs to be re-edited. Cutting people off mid word isnt a good thing.
Religious zeluts are a bad thing what ever religion they practice. America seems to becomming more and more under their control. Hopefully with a new democrate president who hopefully wont share their rather worrying views we might see a decrease in their clout although with so many i highly doubt it.

It may not be an overreaction. Just take a look at 2:50 seconds into this clip from the Superbowl. The Rational Response Squad needs to posse up and spring into action to cleanse Tony Dungy of the Jebus meme implanted by THE BORN AGAIN & AGAIN EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF AMERICAKKKATM.

The problem with fundamentalism is that it no one has the same definition for it so any conversation about it is worthless. Those who actively define themselves as fundamentalists do tend to put stupid things like this refrigerator on their websites.

No, those are Episcopalians which you can kind of think of as America's Anglicans. Robin Williams is one...
quote:
Top 10 Reasons to Be an Episcopalian
10. No snake handling.
9. You can believe in dinosaurs.
8. Male and female God created them; male and female we ordain them.
7. You don't have to check your brains at the door.
6. Pew aerobics.
5. Church year is color-coded.
4. Free wine on Sunday.
3. All of the pageantry - none of the guilt.
2. You don't have to know how to swim to get baptized.
And the Number One reason to be an Episcopalian:
1. No matter what you believe, there's bound to be at least one other Episcopalian who agrees with you.

luckily born again evangelicals tend to grow up to be fat trailer trash, and so we really have no reason to fear them as a military threat.
they're all brainwashed and stupid... just not intelligent people.

Its like saying whats so bad about guns? Surely the guns dont kill people, but thats just what usually happens. I mean a fundamentalist can be the most peace loving person in the world, its just not usually the case. They read and take a book literally, we all know that for example bible is full of stuff that can really be twisted to whatever beliefe there is. Usually its someone interpreting it to suit hes own agenda. Its fundamentalists who blow up abort clinics and kill the doctors, sharia law is used by fundamentalists. And its not just the violence, these people want to stop evolution, water down scientific acheavements etc.

That isn't the problem with Islamic fundamentalists. That's like saying anyone who lives in Sudia Arabis and agrees with their laws is a fundamentalists. Sharia law is for sexist, homophobic bigots.
The problem with islamic fundmentalists is interpritation of what is written in the qur'an and using those words as a means to justify their attacks on other cultures.

Creepy... :S
I wonder what old-style Inquisitors would have done when they see what they are encouraging the kids to do...
They burned people who spoke "in-tongues"!
