Works fine everywhere else, my drive was just partitioned after a system failure, might be something 2 do with that.

Partitioning your drive shouldnt affect it deceting your usb slots. Have you anything else running through usb?

Have you tried those in the usb port you tried the drive in?
It could be a loose connection or something.

have a look under disk management. The pen drive could be mapped to a drive letter that's already taken (E drive? D drive?)... Right click my computer - management - Disk management. Right click the pen drive and change the letter

I think you might be right, although I can;t get the pen drive to appear in Disk Management. Even when in different USB ports!
Oh yeah and my main 2 partitions (on the same drive, C & D) D has a green outline and is blue for it being a logical drive & an extended partition.

Does the pen drive work on another computer?. Try renaming your CD drive(s). You can always change them back!
