It was -4 or so fahrenheit here (so about -10c, I think), and our psychotic superintendant for the school district made us go to school, with windchills at -20f. Our school staged a gigantic protest. They told the media that it was only 300 kids that left class, but it was more like 800+, and the first time they told us to leave (after the superintendant met us in the auditorium and gave a bunch of ******** answers to our questions) almost none of us went back to class (even though they told the papers that they did.) It was an interesting day today.

They never cancelled school cause of weather here. Sometimes when it was really cold, we coud stay indoors between classes, but thats about it o_O

Be that as it may, Finland has about 20 latitude degrees on us, and from what I've gathered, the weather reflects it, and the people are used to it. Pretty much everything goes nuts when it gets below 10 around here. Nobody's prepared, water mains start bursting all over the place, and at least a fifth of the cars in the tricounty area stop working. We were the only school district in southeast Michigan to have to go to school today, and we were hit just as hard as everyone else. That and we were fed up with our superintendant, who makes a case of not letting us out of school until there's a foot of snow on the ground, or the actual temperature is below -15, and has been that way as long as anyone can remember.

I heard a severe weather warning on Radio 1 today - apparently all of England is gunna get snow by tomorrow, in some places it'll be the worst snow seen for years... apparently.

The weather was really bad for me this morning. My car wouldn't start plus there was loads of ice all over her and it looked like I was trying to break in the way I was yanking the door handle lol.
I ended up having to get the train in the end but at least I managed to get into work on time somehow.

hmmm we had a mini heatwave... 41 over the weekend and now dropped back to like 25 in the middle of the week... i was wearing a jumper tonight ffs stupid weather.... i remember yrs ago we used to get like 2 weeks straight of 36 - 40 degree weather... doesnt happen that way anymore.... the extremes of the seasons keep changing all the time... im glad we dont get those freezing temperatures tho
