http://www.myspace.com/dougaldj | http://www.myspace.com/djgammer
Why should I waste my precious time writing about these two? For the past several years they have been a leading team releasing more albums then any other UK Hardcore duo.

DJ Kurt (Lethal Theory - UK)
http://www.myspace.com/deejaykurt | http://www.lethaltheory.com/
What, you don't know who DJ Kurt is? WTF!? DJ Kurt is one half of LethalTheory Records (lethaltheory.com). Joey Riot is the other half...maybe he can come over too? Anyway...where was I? Oh...yeah. DJ Kurt is the man. He has worked with every hardcore DJ worth mentioning in the UK. He has more releases then you...and me combined. (I don't have any, so you'll need 25 or more by yourself).

DJ Sqeak
http://www.myspace.com/sqeak
Sqeak has been into music his whole life. Starting on drums and percussion in 5th grade, he later became the section leader of his section in middle school. In high school, he was one of the top percussionists in the school drumline, concert band, and percussion ensemble. His eighth grade year in middle school he was introduced to UK hardcore by a friend. The first track he heard was "Fly With You" by Scott Brown on his Bonkers 11 CD. Shortly after he began to buy the Happy 2b Hardcore chapters and additional Bonkers albums. At the age of 13 his parents bought him his first set of Stantons. Now at the age of 17, he rocks the crowd with his energetic performances and fast-paced UK hardcore, cheese, freeform, bounce, and the occasional DnB track!

E-Light (E-LightentertainmentProductions.com, Skizzneys - SF)
D.J. E-Light (originally a Long Beach native) moved to the San Francisco bay area in 1996. Shortly after moving he was introduced to the underground dance scene. He immediately fell in love with dance music and he listened to everything from House to Hardcore. He had a few friends who owned turntables and they got him interested in learning how to spin records himself. He started buying records and dabbling with mixing in 1998. In the end of 1999, he decided that he wanted to buy his own decks so he could work on his skills. He bought the basics and he began record shopping at the local record stores. In 2000, he began promoting for Mystical Mayhem, and by 2001 he was running their street team. At the same time, he was playing house parties for friends and attending most of the parties in the area. He decided that he wanted to start his own production company and he wanted to focused on throwing smaller events with a family vibe. He then started E-Lightenment Productions in 2002 throwing underground parties in Oakland and SF. Since then, DJ E-Light has played parties for most of the bay areas biggest production crews including Skills, Elektrosorcery, & Evolution Entertainment. His unique blend of UK Hardcore and Freeform is sure to set the dance floor ablaze. DJ E-Light is an upcoming DJ who knows how to light up a crowd. He produces his own tracks and his mixes are smooth and transcendent.

DuPont has spent countless hours perfecting his mixing skills. You can catch DuPont rippin up the local circuit solo or with his partner as "the HHC TAG Pinky and Da Brain." All across New England and bringing the hardcore as far North as Maine and down to sweltering streets of central Philly...and now all the way to Los Angeles. DragN'fly (DJ4NORML, DJDragnfly.com)
http://www.djdragnfly.com/
Dragn'fly couples a refreshing blend of progressively hard banging tech-trance with an aggressive-as-hell" mixing style and the result is a sound that is uniquely hers. The combination showcases a near frenzy of sound manipulation while she tweaks her EQ's and shreds her vinyl, watching as her dancers rise and fall to ecstatic pieces on the dance floor. With each set, she takes her dancers on a journey through darkness and light with her sense of passion, energy and magnetism - qualities that consistently transform a room of people into a sea of whirling appendages and frothing activity: qualities that make them feel like they are truly alive.

Nicholas also has numerous releases on his own label, Propulsion Records. Artists include Christopher Lawrence, Hook & Bellboy Recording's legendary producer, Chris Cowie / X-Cabs, Leon Bolier, Steve Birch, Descent, Inkfish, Thomas Penton and Miika Kuisma. Nicholas was first commissioned by Arcade America to mix the second installment of their hugely successful Trance Global Nation series and skillfully mixed what went on to be one of the best selling US mix CD’s of 1999. Based on the success of TGN2, Nicholas was invited back to mix the fourth CD in the series, second time round having full control over the track selection. TGN4 was released during 2000; a tough and intelligent album representative of Nicholas’ true underground sound. To support the CDs, Nicholas headlined the Trance Global Nation Tour (featuring Jerry Bonham, D:Fuse, & Doran) and visited cities throughout North & South America, Canada and Asia. Nicholas’ third CD, “Crystal Vol.2,” was released through AM Recordings in 2001 as another testament to his unique and uncompromising style.

Milithor (TitusBrothers, NeoSapiens, Illuminate, Milithor.com)
http://www.myspace.com/milithor
My mom owned a few night clubs and managed a few bands, my father also managed my uncles band. I was always around music as a child. I remember when Nintendo first came out and I used to play Super Mario Brothers. That game as well as others had really catch tunes. I would sometimes let the games sit just so I could hear the music. I am still known to do that with other systems as well. I had always wondered where I could look to find more of these tunes outside games. It was when I was 16 my curiosity would be satisfied. Back in high school I had met my friend Dan who had apparently been in to these sound files called mods. These mods were sound files that were produce entirely on computer. I remember how Dan told me these composers could manipulate sounds through programming. Not shortly after, another friend of mine (Eric) had directed me to Mp3.com, where I would find artist like 303 Infinity, Trance[]Control, Astral Projection and many other artists, that I would spend months on end downloading. To me it had all been “Techno,” but I would learn the difference between the different genres of the electronic music career. I ended up finding out about raves when I was 17, but never went to any until I was 18. I would eventually be given this flyer about this nightly in Tijuana, called “Sanctuary,” where I would meet Dj Cydetrak and J.A Scott, who would later become my mentors as a Dj. It was in early 2001 that I would actually become a Dj. At first I would have to go over my friend Cydetrak’s house, where he and J.A Scott would teach me the basics. I was already buying a lot of vinyl, at first D&B, but I would shortly switch over to trance, and soon after would buy my own set up and spend many hours a week playing on my new set up. In the summer of 2001 I put out my first mix (which was hard trance) called “The Buzz,” it was called this due to a slight buzzing noise that got recorded into the back ground. I would later go on to record “The Buzz v2.0,” which would be my second hard trance mix. This one would actually be devoid of the buzzing noise. This was my third mix, my second one was called “Seeing Is Believing,” which was more of Melodic Trance, Progressive and Melodic Breaks Beats. Only a couple of years into being Dj I would soon add Techno and Breaks to what I would play. I have never recorded a full on techno mix set, but have recently recorded my first Breaks mix called “Waking Dream,” which was inspired by my friend Debra. As far as my most recent history goes, I produce tracks with my brother under the name Titus Brothers, and work with producers such as Jordan of 303 Infinity, Alan Marcero, Nathan Bostick as well as co-host a radio show called Illuminate with Dj Virgen. I am also currently affiliated with Neo Sapiens.

Quervo's flawless mixing skills and uplifting sounds have packed the dance floors endless times. He can always move a crowd and has always supported the crowd. Quervo's live set is something not to be missed, as he continues to represent the scene and is looking forward to bring his evolution of progressive urban sounds to the dance floors around the world. “Quervo is probably America's most unique DJ and has undoubtedly been a major force in shaping the sound of Trance in Los Angeles and beyond” says fellow DJ Doran Chambers. There is no simple way to sum up a dance music phenomenon such as DJ Quervo: the acclaimed DJ, remixer, producer never fails to conjure an ecstatic night of pumping progressive sounds wherever he performs. With his storied past and bright future, DJ Quervo continues to elevate his place in the world American club/rave culture. Thee-O (Biohazard, NeoSapiens, Go Ventures, 26c, Teknoklub, Addicted Events, R.O.A.M)
DJ Thee-O of Los Angeles has always had a love for music. When he was a child at the tender age of 5, he began taking a portable record player with him at all times and entertained classmates and friends with the soundtracks of "Grease" and "Saturday Night Fever". At the age of 13, with the help of his mother and aunt he obtained his first set of turntables and a mixer. Throughout high school he DJed at school dances and house parties where he honed his scratching skills. After he graduated High School in 1991 he was about to embark on training to be an opera singer but got sidetracked when he went to his first rave in early 1992. After that fateful night, he knew what he wanted to do with his life. It didn't take him that long. At his first gig, "Under the Kandyground" in March of 1992, he began building a reputation as one of L.A.'s leading trance DJs. Probably best known for his talented mixing and scratching skills and love for all things Trance. His following continues to grow in the city of L.A. and beyond, with help from his numerous amount of mix tapes and untiring efforts for the scene he loves. He has been heralded as the most popular and most hardworking DJ in Los Angeles. And that hardwork is paying off. In 1993 he started Biohazard Productions as collective of like minded DJ's that now consists of 10 other DJ's of high caliber. In 1995 he threw his first event aptly titled Tomorrowland". In 1996 he started writing for Urb Magazine as a reviewer for Trance music; a position he still holds today. In 1997 he became part of the Balance Record Pool which is considered the best electronic dance pool in the country. In 1998 he released his first commercially available mix CD, "Skywalking" under the Base 9 label. In 1999 he was voted as one of the top 20 DJ's in online poll conducted by Raveworld.net. In the year 2000 he has spun at every major dance event that happened in Los Angeles (including Audiotistic, Electric Daisy Carnival, Jujubeats, Monster Massive and Nocturnal Wonderland). In October of 2000 he and his studio-partner Chris Arnold opened up Biohazard Studios, located inside the Til Dawn offices, right in the heart of Hollywood. In 2001 he released his first CD of original ambient and downtempo music under the name Reef Project and also became the Los Angeles representative in a new mixshow called Revolutions, on the satellite radio service known as XM Radio. He now has his own show on XM called Hazardous Radio that airs 4 times a week. In 2002 he became the first LA talent to join the ranks of Fate Management based in San Francisco. Right now he is currently shopping out some of his original work to labels all over the world in hopes that some of it will be released. It looks like it is working, already some of his tracks have been picked up for release in 2003. Over the past years he has spun next to Outkast, Orbital, Underworld, BT, The Orb, Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Aphex Twin, 808 State, Chemical Brothers, Mixmaster Morris, 2 Bad Mice, Carl Craig, Rabbit in the Moon, Juno Reactor, Dave Angel, Loop Guru, Westbam, X-Cabs, The Roots, Atomic Babies and many notable others. His talents have landed him residencies with Go Ventures, TeknoKlub, ROAM, Channel 36, 26c, and at Club Heat in Hollywood and has taken him to 3 countries, 28 states and over 50 cities. Soon he will be traveling abroad to even more locations to spread his sound. A Thee-O live set is something not to be missed. RaveOne.com put it best when it stated that, "Thee-O's greatest strength is that he is never weak. Some DJ's can tear off a great set on one night, then crap out on another. Thee-O oftentimes approaches greatness, but never falls into mediocrity" while The Rave Section at The Mining Company proclaims: "Thee-O continually proves to be the LA techno/trance master."

DJ Denise (Mizumo Music, Sound Asylum, Skills, Audio Metamorphosis)
You may not realize it yet, but Denise is your favorite DJ. A veteran of the underground scene who can whip thousands of fans into a screaming frenzy with a few well-timed flicks of the fader, this pint-sized powerhouse is coming to your neighborhood - and she's bringing some huge beats. Denise is one of the most beloved and sought-after DJs in the San Francisco Bay Area, and for good reason. She's no showoff, never relying on pure theatrics to pull in fans. Neither is she the type to hide behind her vinyl and let the turntables do all the work. No, Denise loves her music just as much as she loves to put on a great show. Her funky-house and hard-house tracks are selected with an expert ear and mixed flawlessly - but even as Denise pumps out killer mix after killer mix, her head never stops bopping and her booty never stops shaking. Her love for great music and her sheer enjoyment of a good party are what keep the music lovers screaming for more. Listen: what do you do when you've conquered clubs and raves from Hawaii to Toronto, and every place in between? Once you've collaborated with UK power house Pure Groove Records to release double-disc compilations (Hard Dance Sessions with Steve Hill and Marc Johnson), what comes next? For Denise, the answer was clear. And so, in 2002, she founded Mizumo Music and began releasing quality house tracks. But she didn't stop there: she continued to demonstrate her impressive musical talents by producing everything from deep house to hard trance. Now, sought after to create remixes as well as original cuts, Denise is fast rising through the ranks of Bay Area producers. When Thomas Trouble discovered DJ Denise's burgeoning talent in 1998, he knew right away that she would go on to great things. Eight years later, with a fan base that stretches across the continent, a successful record label, and internationally-released compilations, she has proved him right. But don't take his word for it: get yourself out to a show, and hear for yourself what happens when Denise takes over the tables. Be prepared to dance your ass off.

Souffle'

Nic Alvarado
Nic Alvarado’s obsession with dance music began at a very early age. His elder brother told him about disco after hours clubs that played the real underground hits that at the time where coming out of the UK. Because of his brother’s interest in the early underground LA scene, Nic had the opportunity to grow up listening to a really defined sound, not what corporate America called disco, but what true music lovers danced to. In 7th grade he would show up to backyard parties with a walkman and a bag of tapes, cueing the tapes and playing them on whatever home stereo was available. During the summer of 1993 a high school friend of his older brother named Steve Saldez introduced Nic to techno and house music. At the time he was playing hip-hop, funk, and R&B, but techno and house where all the rage in Los Angeles and the early rave scene was taking off. Steve and his younger brother taught Nic how to match beats and properly mix records; up until that time Nic’s DJ skills consisted only of fading one record into another. After attending his first rave that summer, Nic was hooked on the energy of the music and the way the crowd responded. At the end of the summer of ‘93, Nic took some of the techno and house records he bought in Los Angeles back to his home to. Nic was enthusiastic about sharing this new experience with the small-town youth of Bakersfield, and he began spinning house sets with DJ Raully D at a local club called the Marqi. Their following grew, and soon they started a new weekly at another club, The Zoo. The crowds grew larger and soon Nic and Raully even had our own weekly radio show, which was not a small feat in a conservative media market like Bakersfield. Every summer during high school Nic returned to LA, experiencing the seminal LA after hours clubs Sketch Pad, Groove Pit, Family Groove, and Open House. One week after graduation Nic moved back to Los Angeles for good. Nic became determined to break into the exploding LA rave scene of the mid-90s, always attending parties with mix tapes to give to the promoters under the DJ name “Nic-Nac”. One Saturday night in August 1997 Nic got an invitation to spin at a Sunday afternoon mansion party in Malibu. It was at this party that Nic’s soulful house sound caught the ear of an emerging promoter named Dane Styles, who had begun producing small events under the Motivation LA banner. The first Motivation LA event Styles booked Nic for was WinterFresh in December 1997, and in Nic became Motivation LA’s resident. His closing house sets soon became the talk of the rave scene, and throughout 1998 Nic’s bookings became more frequent. One of Nic’s legendary sets of that era was his 7:00 am sunrise set at Motivation LA and Love Life’s “Beyond,” an outdoor event attended by more than 2000 people at a paintball park in October 1998. Nic’s reputation grew and he became a fixture at the weekly raves held at the Masterdome in San Bernardino, the Fox Theater in Pomona, and La Casa in downtown Los Angeles for several years. Years later, in 2006 Nic teamed up with veteran DJ/promoter Sergio Vasquez, and together they launched speakeasyprod a promotion crew dedicated to the Los Angeles underground house culture. Nic and Sergio produced two successful events in 2006: “Soul Glo” and the speakeasyprod launch party. Currently, Nic’s eclectic track selection and flawless mixing skills keep him in high demand at both underground house events and larger electronic festivals.

Dano (Poetiksounds, NeoSapiens, Stellar Productions - SD/LA)
In the past 11 years, this Poetiksounds founder has found a way to make the rave culture a part of his life. Doing everything from DJ interviews and event pictures to production and booking talent. Hailing from San Diego, he's well-known for his infamous house parties, and his ability to find a way to make everyone dance. His versatile style of house will keep you guessing what track is coming up next. Whether you like it deep, funky, jazzy, electrofied, or progressive...he has the music for your taste buds and the energy for your soul. His interest for electronica music began in 1995 when his friends invited him to his first rave, 'Crunchies', held in his hometown of Escondido, at the Ups 'N' Downs Skating Rink. His amazement at how the DJ performed to make the crowd so peaceful, yet so energetic, is what got him hooked. From then on his goal was to bring the masses together. In the summer of '95, he continued what he found at Crunchies, throwing a series of events known as the infamous 'BOUNCE' micro-raves. His hometown was not too big on the idea of all-night dance events, but that didn't stop this jack-of-all-trades to pursue his never-ending pursuit of happiness. And what is it that makes this DJ happy, you say? It's making you experience one of the best nights of your life. Seeing you rock out and groove to the tunes that he presents to you allowing the force of sound to absorb within your soul. 4 years later in '99, he was introduced to the LA scene and quickly became involved with several crews, such as, Matrix Family Ent., SkyWay Ent., and San Diegos own, Fundamental Entertainment, helping him establish recognition. His influences (Thee-O, Nic Nax, Felix Da HouseCat, DRC, Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty Vission, Angel Alanis, Denise, Keoki, and John Kelley, to name a few) are how he helped find the sound he plays today. In 2001, Dano went on hiatus, as he was unable to continue his career, forcing him to step aside from the scene he grew to love so much. But in 2006, Dano came back to the culture in full force throwing and collaborating in a series of events that finally put POETIKSOUNDS on the map. Later on that year, he became a resident DJ of the Los Angeles production crew, Neosapiens, and has been featured at past events such as SPACE OPERA THANK YOU, MUSIC FOR ROBOTS #1, and his own SUMMER SESSION. One of his goals is to bring the two cities where he experienced the rave culture, San Diego and Los Angeles closer together, and he has suceeded at the event ASTRAL BITS, and he's hoping to see the same accomplishment at BINARY HISTORY. Look out for his new mix: Music For Robots Volume 1....strictly for the househeads

If Binary History just so happens to read this:

- Is it 18+ only or all ages? (all ages means i can turn it into a road trip for my high school, seeing i got some of my friends hooked on UK hardcore and one flipped when i said dougal and gammer were kickin off the set)
- How many people are u expecting to show up?
- Seeing this looks like the best rave I've EVER seen in California, perhaps even in the US, can I have ur babies? :P

Edit: never mind, i saw the flyer, all ages and 2.5k cap... so i guess that just leaves the babies comment :P
