This is just a rant.
This is probably a one off....but it's my opinion.
And though it's been said and discussed an endless amount of times - I still feel the need to post this.
Far too many drugs at raves.
Went to a rave last night...the crowd...mostly (Fu3king hate the word) chavs, all wearing gloves, hoodies and casual trackie bottoms...Not that i've anything against wearing comfy clothes at raves but it looked as though no-one made any effort to go out...all normal, everyday clothes...scabby and scally looking.
The girls: Un-approchable. All looking like the 'underage pregnancy' type.
Everyone else (Barr probably 3 - 4)....drugs...chewing their faces. No chance of having a decent conversation with anyone, or meet anyone. Actually, of all the clubs i've been to - I've never went to a rave with the slight hope of meeting someone..going on 'the pull'.
Maybe it's different when you don't take drugs....but why should it be like that?
I stood looking around, wondering why? The music was great...but the crowd had put me off soo much, I walked out...
This is going to be one of those posts where you look back and ask why you wrote it....but it really did piss me off last night with all the fu3king drugs...
Disgrace to the scene...and they wonder why they have a reputation.

kinda understand. being only a smoker and having never tried anything else i sometimes find all the drugs annoying. cant say i have ever been to a rave where someone hasnt offered or asked me for drugs.
they only thing that really upsets me is the people who seem to think going to a rave is about taking as many drugs as possible and getting messy (nothing wrong with it dont get me wrong). I thought u went to rave to listen to music but is it that good being so spannered u cant remember anything apart from trying to climb in walls and chewing ur face off lol

I agree, we get all the lads over here, trying to pick up the 14 and 15 year olds who are p34king off their faces... i've been to raves where i've only met 2 people who weren't on something or other... While yes, raves are dirty dirty places, they're not just for the drugs. Drugs are baaadish mmmkay? I love going for the music and i'll dance my little ass off most of the time... Just most people unfortunately see raves as a place to take drugs, get completely sh!tfaced and make a complete twonk out of yourself.

its a shame really, i admit i've mean messed up a few nights raving but only enough to make the night that much more of a fun time never to the point where i couldn't remeber what the djs were playing and which one was shit or really good. or completely able to have a nice convo with someone(ususally thats where i end up being found lounging in the chill out rooms talking shit with a few cool guys/girls i met round the place)its sad when thats all an event is to some people a place to go and pop pills...i never push drugs on noone or anything like that. my only request is that most times i don't have to have people preach about how bad drugs are to me during the night those people are the worst to be honest...i know what im doing and its my choice if i get hurt because of it(unlikely) the its my issue and i'll deal with it then,most times they don't even know shit about it when they start bad mouthing a drugs anyways, but back on topic every event is gonna have a bunch of those tards in it you just gotta find the good ones where the 'normal' peeps are its not always bad like that but like they say one bad apple is all it takes sometimes

I drank to bottles of wine, and had taken a pill and a half last night and was off my face it was great! Disn't get to a rave coz I wanted to listen to what I want to listen to on my phone! No chavs to put me on a downer and not muchof a comedown as I have had another bottle of wine so all is good!

After I've slid down the rainbow slide (kandi'd out) I'm off to the rave "rollin" on absolutely nothing. [straitXedge kids ftw :P]
But yeah, if I want to see "normal" people in regular dress, I'd go to a club.
If I wanted to see kids totally smashed to bits, I'd go to a house party.
simple as.
When I go to raves, I'm there for the music that keeps you pumped for x hours and i wanna be around people who are there to dance, to be themselves, and aren't there to find a new chic to bang.
I'm not saying these e-tards should get the hell out, more power to them if they honestly wanna be gurnin. BUT I can't be bothered with fake kids who are all about, "rave=E"/"what do you mean you go to raves sober? madness!"

For the best raves, the best atmosphere....the "True" (to me) raves are the ones in small compact clubs/ rooms.
The bigger they are - it's no longer about the music....no matter what the policy...It's money. Big raves aren't there for the music, they are there to make money.

have been to a couple parties where I felt like other than the djs (most of them) and myself, we we're the only sober people at the venue =P
just sad when you look around and it looks like about half of the people there don't even realize there is music being played

It's houses and flats for me while it's winter. Raves are outdoor events not in clubs but that is my personal theory! I ahve been to a small Free party back in June which was my first time on a pill. Coming up in a taxi is also good lol
