Yeah the old stuff will come back...think about it, a few producers are already bringing some of the old stuff out, and everything goes in cycles with music...so why not!
95 and 96 were the best.....there is still a lot of that style about in the likes of canada, america and australia who luv the happy side of hardcore.

BadBoy, talk about coming back from the dead - you even brought that post back with you!
More to the point, about an oldskool revival. I think it's a bloody good idea, as long as it's not rehashes of the same tunes. We need more versatility, and this could be the key.
Also, somebody else mentioned represses of classic tunes. While this is a good idea, i think anthems should be left a 'rarity', because if everyone could get there hands on them, you'd be sick of them right?!

Personally I think varietys the spice of life and while I personally love the new euphoric hardcore, many people in the scene feel it's gone too trance like. I started listening to hardcore with great acts like Dye Witness, Ultrasonic, Rhythmic state etc and now I've got decks would love to be able to mix in a few of their tunes with the new style. Sadly though I agree with Badboy that old represses will be the same few popular anthems that have never stopped been played anyway and will get boring fast. So to hear ma fav classics i'll prob have to stick to ma rez cds.
